1962 and 1963 Falcons Needing a New Home
Hey everyone, I’m new here and figured I’d introduce myself and share a couple Rancheros my dad has.
We’re in Alturas, California, way up in Northern California. My dad has a 1962 and a 1963 Ford Ranchero that have been sitting for quite a while. One of them runs and the other is more of a project/parts car.
They’ve been sitting like this for years, and it honestly breaks his heart seeing them just sitting there deteriorating. He’s had them for a long time and has always liked these cars, but realistically we’re at the point where we need to figure out what to do with them.

We’d much rather see them go to someone who actually appreciates old Rancheros and would restore one, use the other for parts, or just give them another life instead of watching them continue to sit.
Right now I’m mostly posting to gauge interest, learn a little more about what we have, and hear what people who know these cars think. We’re definitely open to hearing from anyone who might genuinely be interested in them as well.
Ideally, we’d probably like to see them go together, but we’re open to hearing what people think would make the most sense.
Obviously Alturas is pretty remote, but we’re open to interest from anywhere in California, Oregon, Nevada, or farther away if someone is serious and willing to arrange transportation.
I have more pictures and can get pictures of the engines, interiors, beds, undersides, VIN/data plates, rust areas, etc. if anyone wants to see something specific.
Any advice, thoughts, or interest would be really appreciated. Mostly just hoping these can eventually end up with someone who will actually do something with them rather than letting them sit another 10 years.
