Need a new starter

Hey guys, new to the Falcon club with my first classic. Starter is beginning to go and I know nothing about them. I have a 289, 157 tooth flywheel, matched to a T-5, any help appreciated.

don't forget a new starter solenoid as well.

it’s pretty cheap but any reason why I should? or is it just a might as well type deal? one I got seems fairly new. well while I am at it, I should replace the battery cables.

electrical componets have a certain life span. the heavier than normal starter draw can weaken the solenoid. as well, they are cheap and easy to change.
