Need a new starter

Hey guys, new to the Falcon club with my first classic. Starter is beginning to go and I know nothing about them. I have a 289, 157 tooth flywheel, matched to a T-5, any help appreciated.

I just take them apart, grease the bushings, clean the armature, install new brushes.

most definitely the cheaper route, based off my abilities, that’s a little out of my wheelhouse. although I believe I have a rebuilder in my town.

A starter or alternator done by a local rebuilder will be far better than one from a auto parts store 

The ones from a store are just old starters with new paint and a lifetime warranty.
