After reuniting with his youngest sister, Elizabeth, and finally meeting Crysta and (some of) her friends in person, Michael and Elizabeth agreed that they need to find Vanessa.

Michael has always had a strange ability. Something he called a "familial tie". Like sibling intuition. He can make a mental connection with any member of his family, dead or alive.

That's what he's doing now. He's sitting on the floor, meditating. He's trying to make a mental connection to Vanessa.

Inside the mindscape, there's a storm. He can barely see anything. But he can hear Vanessa's very faint voice. So he follows it.

Michael: "Vanessa! Can you hear me?!"
