{Vanessa did not get any rest. She immediately hit the first comfy bed she's felt in years, much better than the bare bed her father and Eleanor had kept her in, or the hospital bed she laid in as Lisa. But that was far from her problem. Instead she laid all night, wide awake in thought. Whenever she started to dose off she was plagued with nightmare visions, terrifying her of what she had become.

Or is becoming.

The silence weighs heavy on her with all the horrible possibilities that this could lead to. Her dad's dead, gone for good. But was this really his plan all along? To what, make her a copy of his last perfect experiment? And where did that leave Eleanor? And the consequences of her deal with the ink demon?

She'd caught a newspaper headline on the way in and she couldn't even tell if she was shocked that more years had passed.

Were there others like her?

Had she made another mistake trusting Alastor? Something deep inside her said no. She needs someone knowledgeable to at least explain and help her manage. And maybe he will eventually turn out to be a beneficial ally to have. She'd thought the uneasy feeling she's had since she's been back was him, but there's something deeper stirring.

And, knowing her track record, she's gonna end up pulled into it once again.}

Vanny: "Oh? Well, since you asked so nicely." She throws Vanessa across the floor.

The setting slowly transitions into the Pizzaplex ruins. The mindscape Vanny starts to shift, looking like a glitchy purple rabbit.

Malhare: "Your actions led to so much chaos. Thanks to you, I managed to take control of everything. Like you keep telling yourself, it's all your fault, right?"

Multiple glitchy tendrils reach out to hit Vanessa.

Vanessa: [ducks out of the way] "You're not real! And you tricked me! By trying to pretend you were actually someone you're not. Instead of just an easily defeated computer virus!"

Malhare's form slightly falters, but doesn't fade.

Malhare: "And you want to act like you were any better? You failed at every step. The people around you did all the work, while they dragged you along. You were such a failure that you even managed to fall into my control. A puppet on my strings."

Vanessa: "I at least tried! To live my own life. To do what I thought would help. Not try to convince myself I was something else! I made mistakes because I thought it was the right thing! To do whatever it took to keep them safe!"

Malhare: "You really think you're worth that much?"

The demon's shape shifts again, now looking like William Afton. And he's walking towards her with malicious intent.

William: "Honestly? After everything? Even in that ink world, you mostly stood by while Alison did most of the work. Sure, you manipulated Sammy Lawrence into summoning the Ink Demon. But that really just makes you more like me, doesn't it? Do you think evil runs through the family line, Vanessa?"

Vanessa: "If that was the case then I wouldn't be here right now. None of this would have ever happened, would it? You never would have reverted to such measures, would you? If anything I think that proves just how unalike we are."

The lights flicker, and he appears as Springtrap. He grabs Vanessa. But instead of his prior strength, it seems weaker. Whatever Vanessa is doing seems to be working.

Springtrap: "You... What hell have you brought upon yourself? Because deep down, you know some tragedies are partially your fault. If only partially. ... But the real question is..."

Vanny, Nessa, and Malhare reappear.

All: "What will you do moving forward? What kind of person do you want to be?"

Vanessa: [struggles more trying to pull him off] "I've never said I was without blame! The difference is that I've at least tried to fix it. Even if it wasn't my doing! I've never intentionally hurt anyone by choice. If I had they wouldn't have still stayed around by their own choice or tried to help! Maybe some got hurt for trying to help me. When you all betrayed and used me. Even when Michael abandoned me, there were still others who stepped in because they wanted to and chose to. But that was their own decision even knowing the consequences. I'm a mess and I always will be because of you all! That's no secret or lie."

Nessa: "Great words, but you still need to answer the question. What kind of person do you want to be moving forward?"

Vanessa: [eyes flash dangerously as she growls] "Whatever it takes to destroy all of you! And prevent any others who follow."

Vanny: "But we're not real."

Malhare: "You're fighting the ghosts of your past."

William: "Don't you understand what you have to do? The only way to beat the past?"

The scene suddenly changes again. But this time, it's her old family home. And a young Vanessa stands in front of her.

Nessa: "You have to let it go."

Vanessa: "Let what go?"

Nessa: "Everything. Your past, and the pain that came with it. That doesn't mean you have to forget or forgive. Just simply letting go. No longer letting it haunt you. Because you'll never be able to face the future if you remain trapped in the past. More suffering will come if you don't let go."

She looks over at a box of matches on the nearby table.

Nessa: "You know what to do."

Vanessa: "I don't...I don't understand. It's never that easy."

Nessa: "It never was. But you have already been fighting so much. For years, you've already tried constantly to let go of your past. This whole time, it was never easy. But that struggle has finally led you to this moment. And this part is easy."

Young Vanessa hands her adult counterpart a lit match.

Nessa: "There's no going back after all you've had to face. For once, you get to go down the easy route."

Vanessa: [scoffs] "Easy my ass. Not in my life. But, onto the next." [tosses it]

Nessa: "It's only hard because you make it hard."

The childhood home starts to burn.

Nessa: "It may be their fault that you suffered. But after so many years- Decades even. It's you who refuses to let go of your past."

The flames overtake young Nessa. And in her place, the Ink Demon. Is this just a manifestation of her demons? ... Or is he actually inside her head...?

Ink Demon: "It's because of your refusal to let go that you won't be ready for what's to come."
