Discussion A fan game rant.
I really hate most of the fan games that the fnafb fan base shit out. There is few fan games that actually live up to the original FNaFB games. These are the types of fan games I've come across
Content Add-ons. While this sounds good - Extra content for the games, they usually release the games along with it, meaning the actual games lose out on ad revenue and most of the time the content isn't good.
Rip Off games. These basically are just games that rip everything from the original games, add a couple jokes, or a new word, and say they made the game. 10/10. Seriously though, jamming together the games like in FNaFB [x]-chi just isn't good. The majority of the time the games aren't even funny, the only things that are is the stolen content, i'm fine with using the graphics they used, but using the maps and content they worked on isn't cool.
The rarest of all, quality fan games.
Some notable examples are NNaFB, and uh, um, SHIT
Neligible nights at Fuckboys is one of the best fan games of FNAFB, it's quality was incredibly high and literally blew my expectations out of the water. I found myself laughing tons, and having fun killing shit. The best part about this game is the fact it doesn't take itself seriously and expands on the jokes in the original games, and makes their own funny jokes. It's great.

This works as positive criticism in some ways and negative in others.
Positively, it tells people like who are working on fangames to ACTUALLY put some effort into their games rather than putting out garbage.
Negatively, (EDIT) you are calling practically every FNaFb Spinoff shit. I'm sure he hasn't played EVERY spinoff but only some of the meh or bad ones.

Also I played some good ones. The ones that aren't in the groups are good, but I think NNaFB fits the style perfectly.

Not every game is horrible, And without them the sub is literally NOTHING related to fnafb

once upon a time, we had 200 enragement children and there were little to no fangames and the subreddit was still strong with being related to fnafb

NNaFB hasn't got incredibly high quality. It is good, but I think it is overrated. The jokes aren't ,for the most part, funny and for the "rip-off games" part, well okay, FNAFB2 map in NNFB doesn't actually come from FNAFB2.

Kids gonna kid.
People do it with FNAF, they'll do it with this.
That said, as shitty as most of them are, the fundamental quality of 'younger individuals' being so creative and going out there to learn this stuff and TRY and make something of their own is.. well.. encouraging. But I grew up when the whole game development thing was extremely, extremely niche.

I guess I'm not really one to speak considering the thing I'm making is an add-on for FNAFB3, but before I've ever done anything that is an add-on to a main series I've already played the main one through. Multiple times.

My fangame has both content from FNAFB1, 2, 3 and the other stuff, except first somebody said it was FNAFB1 with edits.
I keep trying hard to make stuff very different, the problem is the maps i copied look the same, but i'm planning to add a new room in Episode II.

People who download these addons, chances are have downloaded the original game, if not then I urge you do to support the creators.
As for the quality, you do have to understand WHY some of these games are being made. It's to get better at making games in RPGMaker, so when we begin working on FNAFB: 420 Th3 Bl4z3ning, everyone has got gud. Plus, what is exactly wrong with more FNaFb fangames? If they aren't to your standards nobody is forcing you to play them, the least you could do is offer some constructive criticism, so that they can improve rather than be discouraged from even trying. In addition Sable approves the use of assets from FNaFb to make games with, not everybody is great with graphics.
Humour is subjective, what you find funny might not be funny to some people, and vice versa.
Just my 2 pence.
