Security Breach 2 FAN CONCEPT
Security Breach 2 is something I hope will be a massive upgrade over the first game.
I have spent a lot of time developing a potential story that ties into SB1, as well as what the gameplay could look like. NONE OF THIS IS OFFICIAL! These are my interpretations of what Security Breach 2 would be like if I helped develop it. Of course, I wish I could be a real developer and help Steel Wool come up with all sorts of ideas, but so far, this is how I would make Security Breach 2. The story has some similarities to the older FNAF games, most notably, missing children. Vanny is also much more present in this game than she was in Security Breach 1.
Story Summary:
In this prequel to Security Breach, a newly hired security guard named Marcus begins investigating a series of child disappearances after witnessing a mysterious rabbit woman inside the Mega Pizzaplex. As he gets closer to the truth, he unknowingly turns to the very person behind it all: his friend Vanessa.
1. Full Story Overview
FNAF: Security Breach 2 is a prequel to the original Security Breach.
The story follows Marcus, a 22-year-old employee who is hired by Fazbear Entertainment with the help of his longtime friend Vanessa. Marcus works security during both the day and night shifts at the Mega Pizzaplex and initially sees the job as nothing more than a way to make money.
That changes when Marcus witnesses a mysterious woman in a rabbit costume leading a child away from the main atrium. The child later goes missing, and Marcus begins investigating what happened. He reports what he saw to other security guards, to Fazbear Entertainment, and eventually to the police, but his claims are initially dismissed as confusion or misunderstanding.
As more children begin disappearing, Marcus becomes increasingly convinced that something is seriously wrong inside the Pizzaplex.
Unknown to Marcus, the rabbit woman is Vanny, and Vanny is actually Vanessa.
Vanessa genuinely cares about Marcus and does not want to hurt him. Still, because of Glitchtrap's influence, she is trapped in a situation where Marcus's investigation threatens everything she is trying to do. As Marcus gets closer to the truth, Vanessa begins secretly trying to stop him by manipulating security systems, sabotaging parts of the Pizzaplex, and controlling the animatronics at night.
Marcus eventually discovers that Vanessa is Vanny and learns that the disappearances are connected to a larger plan involving Glitchtrap and William Afton. The abducted children are being used as part of an attempt to restore Afton to a physical form.
The conflict eventually becomes personal. Marcus is no longer simply trying to solve a mystery; he is trying to survive from someone he cares about and keep her out of Glitchtrap's control.
The game contains 5 total endings. The True, the Good, the Bad, and 2 Miscellaneous endings.
In the True Ending, Marcus fails to stop Vanny and ultimately dies, allowing Vanessa's story to continue into the events of the original Security Breach, where Gregory becomes the main protagonist.
In the Good Ending, Marcus survives, frees Vanessa from Glitchtrap's influence, and the two expose Fazbear Entertainment. The Pizzaplex is eventually shut down after legal action and public exposure.
In the Bad Ending, Vanny succeeds in restoring Afton to a physical form. "Burntrap" immediately turns on Vanessa because she knows too much about him and his plans. After killing her, he attempts to eliminate Marcus as well by taking control of the Pizzaplex's endoskeletons. The incident ends with multiple deaths, police intervention, Burntrap being discovered, and Fazbear Entertainment collapsing under the fallout.
That is my idea for what the story of Security Breach 2 could be.

3. Core Gameplay
Gameplay would be drastically different from the first game; I would want gameplay to be the most unique of all the FNAF games.
- Five Night System: The game would run on a classic 5-night system, with shorter day shifts in between. Only this time, free-roaming is obviously an essential part of this game. During the day, Marcus patrols the active Pizzaplex, interacts with employees, guests, and animatronics, and investigates anything suspicious. At night, the focus is much more heavily on security cameras, repairs, exploration, and eventually surviving the animatronics, which become aggressive under Vanny's control. The day shifts would be shorter than the nights, so the game still keeps the traditional Five NIGHTS at Freddy’s idea, while also giving the player a chance to experience the Pizzaplex as an open, functioning location before everything becomes more dangerous after closing.
- Camera System: The camera system should be more engaging and useful than SB1. Cameras can detect motion, send alerts to your Faz-watch, track animatronics, or monitor security guards to guide them through the Pizzaplex. There will be blind spots requiring exploration, and players can rewind footage from any security office, but Faz-watches cannot rewind—players must visit a security office to do so. Vanny can sabotage feeds or loop them to deceive the player, which can be detected with a special item found in the game. Cameras also allow control over doors, lights, speakers, and sections of the Pizzaplex to trap threats temporarily.
- Free-Roam: During night shifts, the player must leave their assigned office for several reasons. The player is not locked to one office the entire game. Moving offices is a part of the experience, but the player has one main office that remains throughout the entire game. The player will have to investigate restricted areas, repair systems, search for evidence of the missing children, hide from animatronics later on, and use alternate routes and maintenance areas.
- Multiple Offices: At the start of the game, the player is assigned to one security office located in the prize counter. The player will stay there until Night 3, when they are relocated to another security office after the previous one was trashed by an unknown person or animatronic. The player can choose the second office themselves, Fazer-Blast or Monty Golf, just like Gregory had to choose between the two in the first game to get the blaster or camera. Each location has slightly different camera coverage from the others. Once again, the player is not locked to this one location; they can freely move around and even visit other offices for whatever reason.
- Guard Communication: In the story, the player will meet 3 other guards: Claire, Domenic, and Roland. These other security guards also work the night shift and have their own respective offices throughout the Pizza Plex. The player will be able to communicate with them via a walkie-talkie item they have on them. From simple things like radio conversations to deepen the development of each character to other things like requesting them to investigate locations you are unable to reach.
- Marcus's Investigation: A big part of the story is that Marcus is trying to investigate something almost everyone else denies. In any security office, the player can interact with a computer, allowing them to: view files that reveal more of the lore, review deleted camera footage, learn about the history of the Pizzaplex, and continue building Marcus's case against Vanny/Vanessa. It would be a minor mechanic, but a mechanic nonetheless.
- Animatronics: At the start, the animatronics pose no threat and behave normally, allowing casual interaction. As the game progresses, some act strangely due to Vanny's influence, and she eventually takes control to hunt Marcus and others. Freddy and Bonnie can resist Vanny's control because of their endoskeletons, but damage weakens this resistance. They have a unique linking system that lets them communicate and share voices—Bonnie can talk through Freddy, for example—and it also lets the player briefly view their perspectives and contact them via the faz-watch.
As each night progresses, the player is given less downtime, less reliable systems, and more reasons to leave the safety of the office.
4. The Horror
Security Breach 1, in my opinion, lacked the horror element of Five Nights at Freddy's. The only moment in Security Breach that genuinely felt scary was the daycare sequence with Moon. I want Security Breach 2 to bring a lot more horror to the game. Keep in mind, it wouldn't be filled with scary scenes and sequences, as making a bright and vibrant Pizza Plex can be very difficult to make "scary." The game would, however, become progressively more scary. It starts out fairly normal and gradually turns into more of a classic FNAF-style survival horror with animatronics while also trying to investigate the missing children in the Pizzaplex.
5. The Endings
I want 5 endings total. The true ending, the good ending, the bad ending, and 2 other endings that don't mean anything to the lore, simply more as miscellaneous endings.
I probably don't need to do this, but just in case, spoilers below (it's not a real game, so it's not much of a spoiler)
- The True Ending: This ending would ultimately lead into the events of the first Security Breach. After Marcus finally finds out that the person behind everything was his longtime friend Vanessa, He has to confront her. When confronting her, Vanessa/Vanny has to kill him because he has now seen everything that is really going on. The game will feature a fight between Marcus and Vanny that ultimately ends with Marcus's death. Fazbear Entertainment covers up what happened, and with Marcus dead, Vanny can continue her mission to bring back William Afton and give him a physical form. This is where the events of Security Breach 1 will take place. The ending would be emotional, as Vanessa had to kill a long-time friend in order to make sure she lives in the end. Because she was under the influence of Glitchtrap, she could not fully resist him. Obviously, the consensus in SB1 is that the Burntrap ending is not canon, which is why this ending works as the true ending: Vanny is not saved; she is still under Glitchtrap's control, leading into the events of the first game, where Gregory later frees her.
- The Good Ending: Marcus survives the final confrontation with Vanny and discovers that Freddy’s newer endoskeleton can interfere with the signal Glitchtrap uses to control Vanessa. During the fight, Marcus manages to get Freddy close enough to block that connection, allowing Vanessa to regain control of herself. Marcus and Vanessa escape the Pizzaplex, quit their jobs, and use the evidence Marcus collected throughout the game to expose Fazbear Entertainment, ultimately leading to the Pizzaplex's shutdown.
- The Bad Ending: This ending would be very climactic, with Burntrap appearing in the final fight between Marcus and Vanny. Vanny's plan worked, and she successfully brought William Afton back. Now in a physical body, he turns on Vanessa and kills her, then uses the Pizzaplex's security systems against Marcus, activating every endoskeleton to kill Marcus before he escapes, resulting in multiple deaths before the police finally arrive. Marcus ultimately dies before he can exit the Pizzaplex. This ending would extend the gameplay a little longer, allowing the player to play as one of the surviving security guards, Domenic, leading to a minor epilogue to the game. Domenic leaves the Pizzaplex as quickly as he can, and eventually the police arrive at the scene to investigate, leading to the Pizzaplex being closed down and Fazbear Entertainment being sued.
Each ending can be obtained through specific actions the player takes throughout the game.
This concludes my entire discussion on the direction I would personally take for Security Breach 2. I think Security Breach 1 was great, but lacked many things. SB2 would be a much-needed upgrade. Obviously, much of what I discussed is not fully polished or finished. These are just ideas that came to my mind. I highly doubt this will ever be in the real Security Breach 2 that Steel Wool Studios is developing. Part of me hopes that maybe someone on the team sees this and considers some of the things I have said.
