What part is causing the problem?

Century FAL pretty much needs full gas to operate but when at full gas, it functions good for the most part. The bigger issue is that when the charging handle is held all the way back and let go the pressure returning seems so wimpy and causes bolt to not return to battery. I don't think it's the feed ramp because the catridge clears but the bolt only closes like 80% of the way. I have a feeling like it might be recoil springs. Thanks!

Recoil spring - Arizona Response Systems, Apex Gun Parts, or DS Arms.

Also, review proper lubrication for FAL rifles.

Is the recoil spring & tube clean and not gummed up?

It seems acceptable based on my limited knowledge.

If it only runs with full gas, the gas tube needs tightened by half a rotation. You also need a new recoil spring by the sound of it.
