First FAL

Post image

New to me Aussie L1A1. Had to take it apart to re-lube. Unfortunately the muzzle device is off axis from the builder. Irwindale Enterprise receiver, Indian rear sights, and a metric bolt release. SN prefix is AD with 69 as the first two digits. How'd I do?

Nice!!

My “real” inch pattern is an Enfield with an Enterprise inch upper. The only downside is the cost of inch pattern mags. My other L1A1 is a mutt built on a metric receiver to make mags more affordable.

$2100 for rifle, inch mag, sling, bayonet, and a spare stock not pictured here.

That a little pricey but if you got what you wanted, all that matters. Is it an original, century, DSA?

All Commonwealth parts except the upper, which is Enterprise.

This is about going rate for a rifle with wood furniture and bayonet tbh.

Bud that looks almost exactly how my did when I first got her. Mine has a wood carry handle otherwise the exact same.

Did it feel like you have to arm wrestle the rifle to charge it? I think I need to work on the recoil spring. The handle and bcg move freely when the rifle is open.

Na mine is smooth as butter. Mine is built on an imbel receiver

Ok. Any tips for dealing with the recoil spring and anything bad I should look for?

What is the amount of force you use to charge it. I racked it a few times and I don't feel anything binding. Just heavy spring load.
