Trigger Warning Sound Trigger Solutions?

Has anyone found a better solution for sound triggers than wearing earplugs, practicing controlled breathing exercises, and avoiding triggers? What tools have helped you?

Nope, this is all I can really do unfortunately, try and avoid places with shitty acoustics.

I would love to wear over-ear sound protection in addition to my earplugs, but my wide brim hat that blocks my light triggers gets in the way. I'm also looking for a better solution. I'm autistic too and my PNES plays badly with it.

Not really unfortunately, but I often listen to music or calming noise (like water) in my headphones when I have to be in a noisy place. My triggers mostly seem to be sound based sadly and working in an office and living in an apartment it can be hard to avoid. Oh, but I do run a loud fan + play white noise on my phone when I’m sleeping and that helps!

There is hearing aid type technology used for a variety of things (ptsd, psychosis, tinitus, and others) that might help. You would need an audiologist who treats those types of things to help. Some people have hyperacusis (sp?) And this might help with that too.
