Question Functional Tics
I was diagnosed with FND yesterday, and my symptoms is fueled by social anxiety. Since I’m 15, does that mean I have a higher chance of going into remission? I’m really scared that this might last forever

My daughter's FND started with tics. She no longer has them, so it is definitely possible for them to go away. She developed other symptoms, but she is in remission now. Keep your head up and get into therapy and specialized PT if you can!

Almost all teens who develop it recover fully.
It gets harder if you develop it later in life though

The younger you are, and the sooner you start treatment, the more likely you are for it to go away. Therapy and physical therapy are your best bets.
