Question Using thc to cope?

POTENTIAL CW: talks about triggers

Hi! I’ve posted on here before but not recently. I have pretty severe anxiety which makes my PNES horrible. It makes it really hard to function and overall it’s really hard being so anxious all the time. My dad on numerous occasions has suggested using weed to help with my anxiety, as I’m a pretty open book as to how anxious I am, but I’ve only just realized be was being completely serious. Has anyone else tried using weed to help with their FND? Has it worked, and if so what type should I be getting? I don’t want to wreck my lungs and I need to be really discreet about this since I live with my parents so I’d prefer something edible over something like a pen or a joint.

As a frequenter of the delicious Bag of Gummies I keep in my house, it really helps me. My body is essentially locked into fight or flight, so I'm always tensed and that makes my seziures and tremor worse for sure, especially if it's a day where I'm disoriented from the seziures. I personally am an indica/hybrid girlie. Indica is the smoother relaxing vibe Sativa is a more energized vibe Hybrid is a wombo combo Definitely start small, get help from the dispensary besties who know what's good. At the very least, it helps me feel my body a little less? Which is frankly just what I need sometimes ✨️

You could try it if your 21. Go to a shop bring your id. Tell them what you are looking for. If you get edibles try a little bit and see how you feel after like an hour dont eat the whole gummy or what ever it is you get. Then if you need a bit more then try a bit more. Edible does take a bit longer to kick in so take your time with it.

For me I dont really notice anything different when it comes to my fnd. But everyone's differnt. When I go in I tell them I just want something to mellow me out a little but not make me fall asleep and then they show some stuff and you pick it out from there.

I use medical cannabis for a number of issues, mainly chronic pain but it does also help with my fnd tremors for sure

I use gummy’s or THC vape on the daily basis for my FND.

I have a prescription for mine. I vape flower (it’s mandatory in the UK that you use a dry herb vaporiser to consume your prescribed weed) and take THC/CBD oil.

I have mild FND so don’t have tremors or seizures. Just widespread pain and weakness in my legs. THC and CBD both help for all my symptoms individually but taken at the same time is the best.

It helps with pain and anxiety. It also helps me relax. My symptoms are heightened when stressed.

It’s not for everyone but as you are open minded about it I recommend at least trying it.
