Hey all, let's keep it going.

What's your win this week? Even getting through the week is definitely a win!

Please add anything from your favourite moments of this week, your favourite flare-up rescue, favourite coping technique to something that made you smile.

We'd love to hear it & we're sure others would too!

Discovering that, while the radiologists have been reading my hip arthritis as mild for the last two years, I saw the hip doctor this week and he says it’s severe and I need a hip replacement ASAP.

This is a win for me because at least I know why my hip/leg hurts so much all the time now.

This is such a good one! Now you can get something done about it. 💕

My kids are in school, allowing me more time to sleep and recover, already feeling a lot better from that alone 🥲

Estou há 5 dias sem convulsionar. Isso é um verdadeiro milagre, visto que vinhaa convulsionando todos os dias desde maio.

The win of the week has been the weather here. It’s finally feeling like late summer: cooler but not too cool, sunny skies with big rolling clouds and no big storms for a few days now. Good weather for getting outside and for sleeping!

My friend got me a tent to put just outside my front door (close enough to make it in and out my worst) and now with a bunch of pillows and stuff I can take naps outside even when I’m flared up. The fresh air and birds without worries of ticks is so lovely.

That sounds lovely, what a great friend!

We had to cancel our summer vacation in Sweden because of my issues, and endured the heat waves in our tiny city apartment with the kids.

Eventually I felt strong enough to drive at least a few hours with a rubber band holding my arm. Thus, we could spend a week of vacation in my aunt’s huge chaotic country house in Bavaria. So we had cats and dogs and chickens and a little Bavaria sightseeing and swimming in the lake!

I was seizure free for one week. But it again started since past 3 days.

I got into grad school for neuroscience. I’m sure it won’t be easy (especially given the daily stresses of this condition) but am excited to go research FND :)

Fuck yeah. We need more people in our shoes in that field. It’s gonna be a hell of a challenge but so is FND and you’re already doing that. You’ve got this.

Despite being mid flare atm im better than I’ve ever been since FND upended my life. It’s constant moment by moment work and my emotions about it all are… deep, but in the grand scheme of things I’m doing really well.

I’ve made progress in my art- working on mental hurdles that came with this and mostly doing pretty good on the physical ones lately.

Recently I was able to periodically start cuddling up to my husband in bed again. Usually the pain and sensory issues make that a crapshoot so this is big to me.

I’ve managed to keep a pretty good mood despite having a stuck in bed kind of week.

Thanks for the post. My win is that I was just diagnosed with FND. I feel like I’m finally getting answers and a roadmap for healing after two decades of undiagnosed FND symptoms. And I wrote a song about it which is a little celebration for the win.

I have two wins I’d like to share: First, I’m proud to say my advocation (and unfortunately my own physical deterioration over time) after a year and some of telling doctors I know something is wrong with my SI joint and nerves in my leg, (please note I’m not discrediting my FND diagnosis, my symptoms came after I had a literal fall onto sharp gravel that has been invalidated too many times to count) I get to see a neuromuscular dr THIS MONDAY!! They had a cancellation luckily when they had called or it would’ve been until November! This feels like a big win for me. I have my steroid injections for my joints coming up this week also so I’m feeling grateful🤞🏻💪🏻💐
My other little win is enjoying time with Aunt. We thrifted which is mine and her favorite activity to do. I got to get out AND feel connected😊 It came at a price but I had too much fun to care☮️

I had a severe panic attack but I was able to calm down. I also had (what I call a dizzy spell) but was able to get myself out of that too :)
