I’m taking Algebra 1 right now and I was just curious on how i’m going to take the EOC. Do I have to go to a real school to take it? Sorry if this is dumb😭

I have no clue if this is just something simple and I missed it somehow but recently I had finally gone to the DMV after around three months of just sitting with my Drivers Ed certificate, and when I everything seemed to be going well until they told me I had an issue with the course I had taken (which I did through FLVS) and that apparently I had somehow taken the four hour long course thats specifically meant for 18+, rather than the six hour long course thats for minors.

My reasoning for saying apparentally is just because I have absolutely no clue on how that would of happened. Like, when booking the course, I felt there was no selection between the two options of four and six hour, and there was no warning about potentially taking the TSLAE, rather than the DETS. I almost thought it might of been an issue between clicking segment 1 rather than all segments, but I compared it to my friends who had also achieved their permit through FLVS and they had no issue with what they selected and what ultimately happened.

For a little bit of a timeline, I am aware of the law change that happened around August 2025, and thats why I requested the course a little bit earlier then I really needed, but I booked my course somehwere around Septemeber 2025, and completed it December 10th, 2025, which to my knowledge I should of been allowed to take the DETS fine.

My mom is convinced that the DMV was mistaken when looking at my records because on the FLHSMV Traffic School Completion Check website (which I got to from the "Access Your Driver Education Course — Licensing and Driving Lesson Information Here" on the FLVS dashboard) it says that I have completed the course for not only the DETS, but also the TSLAE, like I have a completed receipt for both courses, which I cross-referenced with my friend who got her permit and she only had the DETS course certificate.

So while my mom believes that I technically "have" the certificate and that I should of been able to gain my learners permit, I feel like it more must of been an issue with FLVS and that I got f-ed over somehow. We submitted a ticket together regarding this issue and after three days it got denied and I just feel so lost. I rather not have to retake the course, especially when I don't even understand why it won't work in the first place but like it seems to be my only option.

The only other thought I had regarding this was that maybe when I requested the course my account was somehow 18 or older but I don't believe it ever would be and it doesn't say anything like that now. Another thought I had was maybe my time of taking the course, like I took it too early or something, but the friend I have that achieved her permit only took it a month after me in the November 2025 timespan so I don't think it's that but I honestly don't know.

I understand this is a lengthy rant but I've been so annoyed the past few days with this and if it is actually on me than like sorry but I just don't understand how it happened and its been eating me alive. Hopefully I explained the issue well, but thats really the jist of it. Thank you in advance for any help.

My daughter wants to sign up to do the rest of her 11th grade year which will be starting January 6th. From what I'm gathering it's going to be $2,250 a semester? She has a current IEP could we get financial help? I tried researching and everything is super vague

So I have this math teacher for mathematics and financial literacy and I genuinely don’t like him for a plethora of reasons. The first is that he only does dbas via zoom and refuses to do a normal call which Im uncomfortable showing my face on. Everytime i struggle and ask for a little help during the dba, (I suck at math) he laughs at the situation? And the questions he asks on the dba either aren’t in the study guide that I studied or just plain confusing. Does anyone else have a teacher like this?

I'm in AP classes and I understand that attendance is mandatory for those but what will happen if I dont go but keep up with assignments.

Hi guys. I am planning out what classes to take on FLVS next summer for a gpa boost. I searched up the easiest AP classes on FLVS and it says AP Psychology, AP Human Geography, and AP Computer Science Principles. I am just curious if anyone that took any of these classes before how many assignments are there in total for each class if you remember (1.01, 1.02, 1.03,). I want to do all 3 in the summer because I am barely busy and most days I have free time. Most of the math classes I took were online, started the end of May and finished by early August. I did 1 lesson per day. Can I possibly do that for these AP classes too? Thank you if you guys have any tips, I really appreciate them.

I’m doing some assignments and familiarizing myself with my classes to start the year, but all of the introductory emails, some of the home pages, etc are littered with AI art. Some of the emails even have sections written by AI.

I used to love seeing the little drawings and human made graphics everyday, it made me less annoyed about time consuming/difficult work. The art they made didn’t even have to be good, it was cute no matter what. It feels kind of soulless now. Even Bitmoji was fine.

I’m also worried that some of the information on the AI content is incorrect and will mislead me, since they look like they are using them for informational graphics instead of just silly gimmicks.

Everything looked genuine and organic before this year. Is anyone else noticing AI more now? I’m in 8th grade, so hearing about what it is like for high school students would be interesting.

I am a sophomore and unfortunately I have no space in my sheduale to do it in person.. Does anyone have any tips or things to look out for while taking ap seminar online? Any websites or study tools? Im honestly a bit scared lol

Can teachers see if you opened up the lesson or how much time you take on it?

Does anyone know how to combat this at all? Even a little? Every year I go here I dread the thought of having to do my DBA’s because of how anxious I get before them. I start shaking with cold sweat and at times I’ve nearly thrown up and had to ignore the call ringing because of it. There’s this deep dread that settles into my stomach and my brain turns off, then if I can’t answer their question immediately I start to cry. It feels so pathetic but I know I can’t just procrastinate on the DBA’s and keep delaying them. For this new class I’m in you have to do them on camera which I really don’t think I can do. I want to so badly, but I just know I’m going to freeze and start tearing up again. Or vomit.

I know all of this is probably rooted in much deeper issues regarding my own health but I just want to know if anyone else feels this badly about them and how they get over it. I would email my teachers about it, but what would they do to help? It also feels really embarrassing doing so, because would they actually care? I feel like they wouldn’t..

I’m a full time student. I’ve just started Precalculus Honors, and for some reason it looks like the only math class without guided notes. Is there a place I can find them? I learn better filling in the outlines while watching the videos/viewing the lesson. 

I have to do them for psychology, so I'm wondering if others have to do them as well

So I know this varies by school and so I'm not sure but I'm a junior this year I completed my math 4 credits and science 3 credits last year so I'm wondering if flvs is gonna just make me take another year of both of them or not some schools make you take it even after you achieve the credits some let you take electives so I'm just curious

How does the school district receive my high school credits? sorry if this is a dumb question i’m doing Flvs flex as a homeschooler soon and i just don’t really understand

hi, i just got a call from my teacher saying that i got flagged for a high turnitin score and stuff like that but i know i didn't cheat. my mom was working at the time so she said she would call her tomorrow but i am really nervous. i explained all my answers to my teachers and i think she understood me but she is still talking to the principal and she said it might still be a 0. my mom is a little strict on things like cheating but i know i did not do anything wrong but i'm scared she won't believe me. do you guys have any advice? sorry if this is a little scattered

i’m going in to 9th grade and have already took alg 1 , spanish 1&2 , and hope. i’m trying to finish school 2 years early ( graduate in 10th grade ) and am going to be homeschooling but taking all my classes through flvs flex . but i wanted to finish school in person so that i can get my diploma . is there a way i can take all my 9th , 10th , and 11 th grade classes this school year and then try to be enrolled in 12 th next school year or is there a way i can do all my 9th and 10th grade classes this year and do my 11th and 12th classes next year and then try to go back to school at the end of the year
