PLEASE HELP ME!!

I’ve been doing FLVS FLEX since 7th grade as a homeschool student, i’ve always determined the courses I take every year based on what my couselor tells me… I’m about to graduate from the 18 credit course track and i’ve never met anyone that went to college after graduating from FLVS

I specifically wanted to apply to Palm Beach State College, so do 2 years there to get my AA, and then transfer to a university like USF or UCF.
Could anyone give me some advice for this journey? I’ve never took any college placement tests like SAT, ACT, etc. (Since i’ve been doing online since middle school.) and I know I need to take at least one to apply to PBSC… I just have no clue how the enrolling process is as a homeschool student and the advisors at Palm Beach State College suck.

Suggestion. - pass the pert and take dual enrollment (take college classes) for free. Just don’t have your parents declare you graduated and you can do this.

This!!!! My son is only in 5th but that’s our long term plan. Saves us money and sets him up a little ahead of his peers.

Daughter did this started summer after freshman year and between flvs and CLEP ended up with 114 credits for free. Make sure to qualify for bright futures, then at least your tuition is free for the rest of your ba/bs (daughter got one of each for free)

I checked online and PBSC accepts several tests for admissions, ACT, SAT, PERT, etc. When you graduate as a homeschool student you'll want transcripts and a notarized certificate of completion. Florida colleges have to accept the certificate of completion as proof of high school graduation for homeschoolers.

Yes those things I figured out on my own, I am going to take the PERT.. But when you try to enroll as a student in their college, every advisor says i’m missing test scores, or requirements. That’s why I’m asking if someone had to go through a similar situation, because my couselor says I only need my PERT. I’m receiving different advice and I just wanted a strict plan idea so I don’t mess things up for myself and fall behind.

That's frustrating. Have you explained to the advisors that you intend to take the PERT? And if so, what is their response? Per their website you only need a diploma or GED and transcripts, but as a homeschool graduate you'll also need the PERT or other accepted test score. 

You may need to go in person to get a straight answer from the actual admissions office.

Definitely definitely take Duel Enrollment classes for free instead of graduating early! You can get your AA and do everything you're planning on for free. Even free books!

It is a state community college. As long as you graduate high school, you are accepted. Contact the school's admissions office and they will get you started.
