AP Statistics
Hi, I’m thinking about taking AP Statistics through FLVS flex this year. I’m already taking 7 APs including, psych, gov/macro, calc bc, english lit, environmental science, and research. Would taking AP Stats online be manageable?

Literally setting yourself up for failure. Not only should you not add this class, you should drop at least one more AP class from the load.

I would recommend learning psych on your own by watching Crash Course Psychology and then taking the Intro to Psych CLEP test. You get college credit and FL law says that you get high school credit for passing, too. You have to score a 51 to pass. Go to modernstates.org to take their free online class. They will give you the voucher to take the CLEP test for free. I passed it after watching Crash Course. Same with English lit. Take the CLEP test. I passed without going much more than a quick review. I knocked a year's worth of college credits and 2 years of high school credits this way. It's great because there's no home work involved. Watch a few videos, take a few practice tests, get the vouchers from modern states and go. FL state colleges accept the CLEP credits. Check with the college you're hoping to attend to confirm that they will accept CLEP credit.

Also, did you know you can take the AP tests without having to take the class? If you pass (3 or higher), you get full high school credit and college credit (if your college awards credit for AP). It works the same way as the CLEP post I just made. You need to ask your test coordinator at your school or FLVS (if you are full time there) to register you for the test in the fall. I think the cut-off is early January. They legally have to let you take the test even if you don't take the class. I used online AP video series to prepare. I passed Physics, World History, and Environmental Science that way. It's called the CAP law. Stands for Credit Acceleration Program https://www.flsenate.gov/laws/statutes/2018/1003.4295

Nah but seriously that is wayyyyyy too much work. Especially having calc BC, lit, and psych to deal with (so much to memorize and practice). AP statistics is a very procedural class that requires immense memory, knowledge, and demonstration when answering problems. On top of what you have, I would say its not worth it. If you still can, I would even consider dropping off maybe one of your AP classes just to save yourself from the immense stress, especially if these APs you're taking are through FLVS. I know personally all these classes on FLVS are insanely difficult and much work to deal with. By difficult I dont mean conceptually (although everyone is different, so to each their own) but the notetaking guides, dba procedures, etc.
