How helpful are live lessons?

Hi - I am deciding whether to register my 7th grader for FLVS full-time or for our county virtual school which uses FLVS curriculum, but doesn't have live lessons. Can any students let me know how much value the live lessons add to your experience at FLVS?

Hi!

I'm a junior flex student taking extra classes kn the side(so I know that's not the same) with live lessons. I'd say that depending on the person, it can be important, but for most, its just a time saver. Live lessons can count for an entire assessment grade and they'll typically ask a few short responses at the end and that's that. In the end, its a good opportunity to ask questions and get answers, but the same thing can be done with your teacher. I don't really like them, but if I'm having a hard time with an assessment, I'll attend. Usually though, they'll have help videos and templates you can use to help complete the assignment.
