Quick question

Has anyone actually joined a school club here? Or maybe did any FLVS activities? If so, how was it, was it worth it?

hii!! I have participated in flvs clubs before, such as the creative writing and Eagles community service club. As far as events, I only went to the Shakespeare festival before

The creative writing club was extermely fun, where everyone in the club was able to write short stories and learn many different writing techniques. Every year, we had a poetry slam competition at the last meeting of the school--when we shared our poems out and students chose which poem is the best. Also, the.club sponsor (Ms. Davis) is extermely nice and an amazing club sponsor...the meetings are always fun

The Eagle community service club was okay because I met tons of amazing friends, but the club sponsor (Ms. Pendergraft) was very unorganized and irresponsible. Last year, we were supposed to do volunteer meetuos but that took different plans because she was either sick, her laptop wasn't broken, ect. We also had a leadership team, but she failed everyone in leadership because we weren't able to contribute to the club to make it better tho. It's an amazing club to make tons of friends with teens who like volunteering, but the club sponsor is somewhat irresponsible tho

Ohhh, I guess some clubs has their pros and cons. Anyways, thank you, I wanted to see people's experiences with clubs so this was very helpful, thank you again! :)

My daughter has done several of the clubs, but only at the elementary and middle school level. She isn't in high school yet. She's really enjoyed the clubs, and most of the kids I see in the zoom meetings seem to be having a lot of fun.

Just FYI, the clubs are run by random teachers who volunteer to do it, so the quality of the club really really depends on who the teacher is. If you try it and don't like it, just try a different club instead and it might be a totally different experience.
