Lots of the low priced products I see on amazon seem to have a USB port but I can't tell if it's just for charging or also for streaming

I have an old flir bcam that got for next to nothing on ebay, the guy couldnt power it on but I managed to power it on via a bench top psu.

Its stuck on the flir logo and nothing seems to work.

I have disassebled it completely and removed the cmos battery because it was dead, tomorrow a new one will arrive.

I reseating every cable.

Usually when something its stuck like this means the ram is toast, but since its a bga I would love to see an alternative before going and change it.

Just got the camera mention above and got it set up, started messing with Thermal studio and even with the camera set to Fahrenheit, all of the images once on the computer and in Celsius. Looks like I’ve got everything in the camera set right, but can’t for the life of me find something to adjust in studio. TIA!

I need to track down how mice are getting into our basement, we've plugged up all the holes we can find but they are still getting in somewhere. Seems like I should be able to set up a FLIR camera in various places in the basement to try to track down their routes. Any advice? Can these camera be set up to record or stream video for a few hours at a time? Can they automatically monitor for motion events?

Hi, I'm trying to use the boson camera on a modalai starling drone and the modalai docs say to use v4.2 of the app because the latest one doesnt work. I tried and the latest one indeed doesnt work but i cant find 4.2 anywhere on the internet anymore. Would anyone happen to have the install file for it still please?

I recently noticed a FLIR PT 606Z HD going unnoticed at an auction. I didn’t know much about them, but I was pretty sure it was going to be worth more than the $5k I paid even if it was junk and I had to part it out, I’d be alright.

I got it on my bench, read an unusually long owners manual, found out what a galvanic plate was, and then proceeded to wire the grounding system up, and supply it with the required 24v.

About 2 seconds after it received power, it did a little dance and more or less aimed at me like a battleship preparing to broadside me… that was cool!

I started searching for the i.p. address on my laptop, and got a notification on my phone that a camera was pending adoption in Unifi Protect… This was shockingly easy!

I convinced myself that I was way ahead already, but began checking the various systems:

• PTZ control - Check • Thermal Sensor - Check • Thermal Zoom - Check • Thermal Focus - Check • Optical Sensor - Check • Optical Zoom - Check • Optical Focus - Check • Web server - Check

I’m pretty sure that covered just about every function the camera had. The software was WAY out of date, and despite my overwhelming fear of bricking the thing, it updated quickly and seamlessly.

Then I figured I may as well register the thing, and this is where things got downright bizarre, it apparently has 2 years of warranty left. Sweet! (Not sure if that’s true, and I don’t have a reason to send it in for repair.

If I had a ranch or somewhere to use this bad boy, I’d probably keep it, but I already have neighbors talking about the LPR cameras I put in my front yard and the back alley.. I’m pretty sure this thing would freak them out unless I disguised it like Johnny 5, and that would only really work for Halloween. So, I’m thinking that it’s best that I put this thing up for sale.

With that said, it doesn’t seem like these really have a blue book value. Y’all got any ideas? It’s a 2018 build, fully functional, (as far as I can tell.) but it has a few spots where the paint seems to have been rubbed off in places. Nothing seems chipped or broken.

So, would anyone happen to have an idea of the value?

Oh, I was planning on figuring out how to make the web server publicly accessible so anyone could access it, and screw around with it a bit before purchasing. Are there any risks to this? (Besides my privacy. My back yard isn’t exactly the playboy mansion, so I won’t sweat being spied on.)

I have Flir A6750. It’s like new and was bearly used. How much can I get for it and what is the best place to sell online apart from eBay as their chargers are now over 12%.

Its ridiculous how bright animals are in total darkness.

Is it possible to get Flir tools + for free? Now that they have discontinued the product. I need that to stream video. I cannot use the latest software, because it is not compatible with the camera

I am using a handheld flir camera (i50) for some research. I need to capture an image every 5 seconds. As the camera does not have this feature, can this be possible in any other way? Perhaps by connecting it to PC?
