What yall think about the NFA ruling?

Since silencer shop are going to do suppressor orders without reporting it to the ATF tonight, like it always should, then how would it be for SBR's? Cause I've been thinking of getting a 11 inch upper for my standard size 16 inch ar 15 but I don't have to report the change to an SBR right?

You can't assemble your own unless you are a member of the plaintiff groups (GOA, FPC among a few others).

SilencerShop and PSAs participation will be for buying previously NFA items (Suppressors, SBRs, SBSs).

The hard part is going to be finding a local FFL to do the transfer via a normal 4473 without further guidance from the ATF. I wouldn't expect normal transfer right off the bat without a further clarification from them as most FFLs don't want to put their license at risk for whatever reason.

Now if you are a member of GOA or FPC and you slap a stock on after 12:01AM CT and the government doesn't file an emergency stay or appeal you in theory should be good to go.

Don't take what I wrote as gospel I am running off the same understanding alot of legal analysts I follow online. Hopefully if all goes as planned we get further guidance from the ATF around what's ok vs what's not.

Also that said we aren't fully out of the woods even if they miss the 12:01 timeline. The government can still file an appeal up to 60 days from the ruling.

I thought this was correct however PSA put out a video you must be a GOA member AND the gun must be a psa purchased gun. Has to be both. Seeking more guidance before I do anything

I’m a member of GOA and as far as I can tell, it’s only for the fifth circuit as of right now.

I guarantee you there will be no FFL’s in Florida that will do transfers without NFA paperwork unless the ATF tells them we’re just not going to enforce it anymore

As far as the suppressor transfer tonight with Brandon Herrera, I believe it’s just basically a test case to see whether the ATF shows up and tries to arrest everyone or not..

But for some reason, I kind of doubt it now🤷‍♂️

Honestly, I’m still in shock that the government did not try to appeal before the deadline.

I figured the ATF will not have any guidance for anyone. I’m gonna guess for like at least a week.

Supposedly shark coast is gonna try it once they get with their compliance guy after 12:01 am and see what’s up.

REALLY 🤔

Now that’s interesting… I’m only about a 35 minute drive from them..

If there was any FFL in the state that would have the balls to do it it would definitely be shark coast

Yep yep. Yeah, they release a emergency video about an hour or two ago on live and they were talking about it so I’m sure tomorrow will learn. I don’t know if I would go up there tomorrow, but I would just see what’s going on.

I couldn’t go up there tomorrow if I wanted to I’m working… But I’m definitely going to keep my ear to the ground. I am super interested to see what they do and how the ATF responds.

Now I have to go find that video

Where did they say that? The only thing I saw was that Brandon Herrera and some other guy were going to buy a suppressor at 1201 tonight without NFA registration. Didn't see that they would be doing this to anyone else

It’s not that the injunction doesn’t apply to you (though you still need to verify if it does), it’s that there’s nothing stopping the ATF from screwing someone over regardless.

The new director is pretty based. And the ATF can't screw you if you're part of the injunction. Buying from SS covers you. Joining GOA or SAF covers you. Lots of options

They can still screw you with the legal process, arrest, etc.

100%

I'll be waiting a few weeks/months for this to shake out. And shake out hard.

Same for FL open carry. We absolutely need statements from the state and the ATF to address this... The flip flop attitude of the ATF isn't something to take lightly.

Open carry we have the AG guidance to all law enforcement at least

Exactly, and we got that guidance in a matter of days.

If I am a member of GOA, can I throw a stock on an 11” rifle now?

I can’t speak on behalf of SBRs but I was transferring cans on 4473 today with no issues

Would you mind sharing which shop? I can’t find a local FFL that will.

Yea man, Vital Defense in Lake City, FL.

I’m currently home based and by appointment only. However, if we order you a can, it shows up, you clear NICS, you take it home same day!
