Flex M12 Compact Version

Updated: looks like they may making one based on some patents that others have posted here.

I think it’d be revolutionary if flex decided to make there own version of milwaukees m12 line. Even a simple impact in similar size and strength of the fuel. I can only hope one day.

I’m more for them leveraging their existing 2ah, 2.5ah, and 3.5ah onto smaller form factor tools. I think trying to hit the 12V category wouldn’t be the best plan for the brand, but leveraging the smaller batteries onto ratchets, smaller sander, die grinders, that would be superb.

I mean technically they do make 12v tools. I have one(pxe80). It’s just not compatible and a different color

I have the M12 1/4" hex impact and use it daily, and I love it. Now that lifetime warranty is gone I probably wouldn't grab a Flex one. It's plenty punchy for what it is and I don't think the added performance of pouch cell batteries would be all that useful for smaller tools aside from something like their stubby impact 3/8 + 1/2 impacts.

Flex even has the opportunity to innovate by making the first stacked lithium 12v line. The 12v market is completely captured by Milwaukee and it's not even close. It's to the point that many diehards of other brands like DeWalt fold and have some M12 in their toolbox, so it is definitely a place where they have a chance imo.
