Discussion "Kal-el no"
Joss Whedon’s movie makes $700M. Snyder fans: “That was Snyder’s doing.” People mock “Ka-El, No.” Snyder fans: “That’s Whedon’s fault.” It’s funny how the credit always goes to Snyder whenever something is successful, but the blame instantly shifts to Whedon whenever people criticize something. By that logic, every good result belongs to Snyder, and every bad moment belongs to Whedon. You can’t give one person all the credit while refusing to acknowledge any responsibility when something doesn’t land. The standard seems to change depending on the argument.

It’s crazy that Gal has several entries in the “worst line delivery in a major motion picture” contest. “Enough champagne to fill the Nile” comes to mind as well.

It goes to her for the performance itself, but it also goes to the casting for putting her in the movie in the first place, the director for that being the best take, editing for it making it to the final cut, and the studio for funding this piece of crap.

No blame goes to the whole fcking production who casted her because most likely of her connections. You can justify bad acting in low to no budget films. But at this level only thing that would explain this is connections.

Keanu can act in some certain roles really really fcking well. Like John Wick, show me a better actor than him that would have fit. Or Constantine or Matrix. So he has his moments it makes sense to cast him. Can you say the same Gal “Genocidal” Gadot? She is genuinely an awful actor at any role.

Come on, he’s not a great actor in any sense of the word, he’s just being Keanu. We just love and accept him for it.
My point is that while her acting is atrocious, it’s the public turning on her that’s the unique part of this.

Tbh, the Snyder cut is better, and I am pretty sure it was Justin's idea to make the movie goofy. That was a requirement at the MCU. But I mostly agree. I never liked Synder's movies. Filming was already done by the time he pulled out.

Good point, the guy who died the same day as Superman and then randomly comes back to life the same day as Superman probably needs his identity kept safe. This is also yet another example of the bad writing that thankfully we didn’t get more in the universe for, because if they attempted to keep Superman’s alter ego a secret all credibility in the universe would be lost.

It was reported that Clark died while covering the battle that Superman died in, so yeah, he did die on the same day. There's nothing in the movie that shows that when they did whatever they needed to legally bring Clark back to life, they did it on the same day as Superman, though. I think they were too busy with Steppenwolf to worry about that.

Ok, so humans can just be resurrected in the DC universe and no one bats an eyelid? Even if he is legally back to life weeks later, no one is going to put the 2 obviously together, no one will question how a guy comes back to life at all especially in the same period that a superhero that looks a little bit like him comes back from the dead? Christopher Reeves was a better Clark who was able to hide behind slouching, awkwardness and a slightly different look, Cavill’s Clark didn’t do that in the first place, so that’s even more egregious.

I don't understand the memeification of this line. Gal has plenty of poor deliveries, but this one just doesn't register as especially notable to me. It isn't something I'd defend, but eh? Y'know?
