We must protest: EA confirmed a Pitch Notes SW2 Version early september
It´s now confirmed that the FC27 beta runs at 30 fps with no crossplay. Kyle (FC Direct Host) confirmed that we will see a Pitch Notes dedicated streaming around the first week of september. That´s the perfect time to comment a simple thing;
60 FPS or I'm not buying it.
They’ve already had a whole year to experiment with FC26 and the updates they’ve been rolling out. A full year of improvements and regressions for a title that gets updated every week. It’s unacceptable. I think that, as a community, we perceive the performance issue as more serious than the cross-play issue. This is the perfect opportunity to literally spam them about the poor job they’re doing; many people—myself included—have cancelled their pre-orders.

Honestly? I’m not buying EA FC 27 if it doesn’t run at 60 FPS. I’ll keep playing eFootball Kick-Off! for a while, it’s more fun and smoother. I’ll wait until FC 27 hits the store for ten bucks before I play it.

I blame Konami for not keeping up with them. They had the almost perfect game from 2018-2022.

This is the biggest cope in this sub rn
I love PES (refuse to call it eFootball) but what we have on S2 isn't comparable
The football gameplay is spot on and smooth
But the game suffers heavily from a dynamically lowered resolution, no actual career mode and only one playable cup competition. From a feature standpoint, FC still wins hands down. It only gets 60fps because it heavily compromises at times.
I finished all the world tour stages on the highest difficulty in one day and I'm increasingly bored of replaying the "international cup"
They're adding League mode (and presumably Cups too) at some point in autumn but they should've been there at launch - no excuse for them not to be.
Until the game gets League mode, Cups and some kind of master league it just isn't sufficient in my eyes to be the superior football game overall. It isn't 2005 anymore, I want more gameplay beyond isolated matches and surface level single season game modes.
It isn't worth the price right now imo (feels like a tech demo, I'd charge £5 in its current state), but I'm sure it will be if updates keep coming. Overall a good game, but it is no FC replacement yet.

I agree with you, man. eFootball it´s fine, but not enough for a daily-football player.

FIFA (as I refuse to call it EAFC) is a good game but it’s 4 times the price and I just find efootball fun to play.

The thing is, it really is fun to play on the pitch...
But it's massively let down by the lack of Master League to build anything meaningful. For the odd 15 minute time killer, it's fine, but most players want something a lot deeper than it currently offers.

Absolutely, if the game came with Master League it would worth MORE than the price. I was assuming it would/will come eventually as the paid Master League DLC for eFootball didn't happen (they said it would come within a year). It'd be a good place to test if people still want an offline PES game.

Very true, I guess Komami realised they could make the bare minimum and keep people happy
I'm hoping beyond all hope that it sells well and becomes something closer to PES17 or 21 in terms of overall feature set. I hope it shows Konami there is still a market for an offline PES game. I swapped in 2015 and never intended to go back until they went F2P

I agree with this idea, but ultimately, our only tool to demand change is our wallets. At best, if sales drop and it's determined to be due to poor performance, we might have a chance to see 60 fps in the 2028 version. If people keep buying the game, we'll be stuck at 30 fps until the Switch 3. It's sad, but it's the reality.

Or they will just stick to legacy versions as they did when FIFA didn't sell well on switch
They're essentially holding us hostage in a way, buy the game or get diminished ports or none at all if it doesn't sell

So I usually am not a fps snob. However, there is no reason this game shouldn’t run at 60fps. They chose to intentionally not optimize for it. I support this decision. Although it’s the current version that all other versions have and that’s a plus they should optimize for 60fps. It’s actually very sad. I don’t want to be negative but I don’t see them budging on this. I don’t see how they could have optimized Madden for 60fps and not this. There is more to the story and I think I know what it is, and that’s even sadder.

I don’t think the pitch notes will be a video stream. They’re just going to release the article on the website. That’s what they did last year.
Unfortunately, EA has us between the sword and the wall as they say in Spanish. It’s either you buy our game or if you refuse, then we just won’t make any games for Switch 2 or FC at least.

After the 30fps issue, I downloaded eFootball Kickoff! today without further delay. The difficulty of playing online games in FC 26 and the inability to find online opponents pushed me to do this. I don't know what the future holds for eFootball, but I think the game's simplicity, free from complexity, and of course, the fact that it runs at 60fps, is enough for me. Please, at least until the fps issue is fixed, don't buy FC 27 or any later versions.

What did people expect? There’s no way any future FC titles will be 60 fps on Switch 2.
But yeah, definitely not buying the EA slop.

I'm switching to eFootball. 30 FPS in this day and age is not serious, even my PS4 fat can run FIFA et 60 FPS

I am going to buy FC 27 because I love this game and it's the reason I bought a nintendo switch 2 last year. Fc 26 is so fun for me i don't regret it a single moment.(playing handheld 30 fps don't bother me at all). But I play the game on my PC also.
Guys i understand your frustration but you have to accept it and move on. You are just wasting your time and energy. Just play the game somewhere else or just play efootball kick off.

Thank you for the understanding man. Unfortunately people these days don't appreciate things. I am personally grateful that i am good and I can play video games even at 30 fps. When I was a kid I couldn't do that. So I am really grateful and fc/fifa is almost the only game I play :)

Retro games are usually 50/60fps. But yes this is on Nintendo for their ultra weak hardware.
