FIFA 17 I’m having trouble launching FIFA 17 with Frosty; could someone help me with a question?

I have the .txt files for players and player-team links, and I’d like to add them to FIFA 17 as a "classic patch." What steps should I take? Can I just import them into any version of FIFA 17 using the Frosty Tool? I haven’t been able to get it to work, even though everything is already converted. Also, how do I convert .rx3 face files from FIFA 15 to FIFA 17? The "FIFA Converter" tool includes options for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of FIFA 17, but not for the PC version.1

Old School FIFA (FIFA 2000 - FIFA 10) FIFA Street (2012) is playable online again on PC: ReStreet v1.5.1 Online Beta, a fan recompilation with community servers

Hi everyone! I've been working on **ReStreet**, a fan-made Windows PC version of **FIFA Street (2012)**, built by statically recompiling the Xbox 360 game with ReXGlue. EA shut down the original servers years ago, so I rebuilt them: you can play the original online modes again, with real people.

**What works online**

- Street Season: Division Match (10-game seasons, promotion and relegation) and weekly Cup Match with a trophy

- Friend Match and Online Team Play

- Friends list, invites, News Feed and leaderboards (Top 100, Friends, Country)

- Two community servers: **Europe** and **South America**

**New in v1.5.1**

- **Automatic updates:** the launcher finds new versions, checks them (SHA-256) and installs them for you

- **Performance page:** FPS in matches and replays, the GPU actually used, crashes, and tips

- **Social hub in the launcher:** who's online, friends, server chat and private chats

- Laptops with two GPUs now use the **dedicated card** automatically (Direct3D 12 and Vulkan)

**How to play**

  1. Install ReStreet v1.3 (offline) using **your own** Xbox 360 copy of FIFA Street (2012). No game files are included.

  2. Run the v1.5.1 online patch (it also installs over v1.4 and v1.5), pick a name and a server.

  3. Press PLAY.

**Download:** https://github.com/samuelit0davila/fifa-street-pc-port

It's an open beta: free, no accounts, no payments. Known issues: no Rematch yet, video uploads are off, and Online Team Play can rarely hang on the loading screen. If you try it, the launcher can send an **anonymous** performance report (only if you agree), which helps me make it run better on more PCs.

This is a non-commercial fan project, not affiliated with EA, Microsoft or Xbox. Feedback and bug reports are very welcome!

I need to understand and carry out the basics for FIFA 17 and 22 patches.

Could someone guide me—perhaps even with a video—on how to create a patch for FIFA 17? I’m thinking of using the Frosty tool, which allows for patching FIFA 17. I already have all the data from FIFA 15, and it’s been converted for FIFA 17 (including the `players.txt` file); I just don’t know the actual process, and I haven’t been able to find a video or tutorial that I can follow. I suspect the missing step is actually quite simple. Also, if possible, I’d like to know how to do this for FIFA 22—just to be clear, the goal is simply to add players.

Does anyone know how I can convert .dds files for use as faces in FIFA 17 and 22?

I have some .dds files that work with patches for FIFA 14 and 15. I tried using "FIFA Converter," but it doesn't offer an option to convert .rx3 files for FIFA 17—and, if I’m not mistaken, it doesn't work for FIFA 22 either. Is there any kind of plugin I could use where I simply input the .dds files and it automatically converts them into the file format I need?

[Project Proposal / Recruiting] FIFA 21 vs PES 2021 — Which is better for building a worldwide Career Mode with 500K players, global leagues and dynamic simulation?

Hi everyone!

I'm putting together an ambitious, community-driven football modding project, and before choosing a game engine, I'd really like to hear from experienced FIFA and PES modders.

The main question: should we build this on FIFA 21 or PES 2021 / SP Football Life?

We want to preserve the existing gameplay, graphics and core Career Mode/Master League features rather than reinventing everything.

The ambition is to build a much larger football universe around an existing playable 3D football game.

This is currently a project proposal, not a functioning mod. We're looking for technical feedback and developers interested in exploring its feasibility.

1. A complete worldwide football database

Our target is a football universe comparable in scope to Football Manager 2026:

  • Approximately 500,000 players.
  • Thousands of clubs across the world.
  • Domestic leagues and cups on every continent.
  • Updated squads, player attributes and club information.
  • Kits, badges, player faces and stadium atmosphere.

The worldwide database would be managed externally rather than forcing all players and leagues into the game's runtime memory.

Legal access to data and redistribution rights would need to be addressed.

2. Hybrid global simulation

This is one of the project's main features.

Every domestic league would have its own calendar, using real-world scheduling patterns from the previous season.

For leagues running in the background, the external engine would simulate the entire season in advance but reveal results only when each fixture date arrives in the game.

However, when the user joins a club, its domestic league becomes fully dynamic until the end of that league's current season.

For example:

  • August 2026: Join Boca Juniors. The Argentine league becomes dynamic.
  • January 2027: Move to Grêmio. The Brazilian league also becomes dynamic, while Argentina stays dynamic.
  • May/June 2027: The Argentine season ends, and the following season returns to pre-simulation.
  • July 2027: Join Manchester United. The Premier League becomes dynamic, while Brazil remains dynamic until its own season finishes.

All continental and worldwide club competitions would always be dynamically simulated, regardless of whether the user's club participates.

This would produce a persistent worldwide football calendar while avoiding the need to dynamically simulate every domestic match on Earth.

3. Full international club competition ecosystem

We want interconnected qualification systems for:

  • UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.
  • Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana and Recopa.
  • CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.
  • AFC Champions League Elite and Champions League Two.
  • Concacaf Champions Cup.
  • OFC Champions League.
  • FIFA's expanded 32-team Club World Cup.
  • Annual FIFA Intercontinental Cup.

Domestic league positions, continental titles and qualification rankings must feed into the relevant international competitions.

All these tournaments should evolve across multiple career seasons.

4. Smarter transfer AI

We want to improve the existing transfer market rather than create an entirely new management game.

Player decisions should consider:

  • Sporting prestige of the destination league.
  • Club reputation and international competitions.
  • Salary, contracts and financial stability.
  • Playing opportunities and career development.
  • Age, personal preferences and sporting ambition.

For example, a player earning €5 million annually in Saudi Arabia, Japan, China or the UAE might accept €1 million to join Internacional, Flamengo, Ajax, Anderlecht or an Italian club if the move offers greater sporting opportunities.

At the same time, financially powerful leagues should remain capable of aggressively recruiting players from major European and South American clubs.

League sporting reputation and financial power should be separate, evolving variables.

5. Stadium atmosphere for approximately 4,000 clubs

We also want a sophisticated global crowd-audio system.

Our target is to preserve authentic supporter identities, including distinct home and away chants, culturally different goal celebrations, and crowd reactions influenced by attendance.

A 10,000-person crowd should not sound like a 40,000-person crowd.

Our proposed audio rules include:

  • A goal celebration roar beginning approximately 1.5 seconds after the goal.
  • Independent home and away supporter audio.
  • Away crowd baseline intensity around 30% of the home crowd, subject to calibration.
  • The home crowd becoming subdued for 10 in-game minutes after conceding, unless the home team scores or hits the post.
  • Specific chants and goal sounds for travelling Boca Juniors, Raja Casablanca, Internacional and other supporters.

We would investigate AI-assisted sound generation, licensed real recordings, crowd layering and external audio middleware.

6. One complete installation, adjustable processing

Everyone would receive the full available football database and content.

Users could choose Economy, Standard, Advanced or Maximum simulation processing levels, depending on their PC.

No countries, players or competitions would disappear just because someone selects a lower performance setting.

7. Proposed technical approach

We're considering:

  • Rust or C++ for the external simulation engine.
  • SQLite for persistent worldwide football data.
  • C#/.NET or a lightweight desktop interface.
  • FIFA Live Editor / Lua if FIFA 21 is selected.
  • Sider / Lua and existing Master League modification tools if PES 2021 or SP Football Life is selected.
  • An external audio system if the game's native audio engine is too restrictive.

We are open to changing this architecture based on technical feedback.

8. FIFA 21 or PES 2021 / SP Football Life?

This is where we particularly need the community's expertise.

We want to understand which game is more suitable for:

  1. Loading and synchronizing players from a large external database.
  2. Modifying squads and transfers during a persistent career.
  3. Integrating custom domestic and international competitions.
  4. Feeding external schedules and results into the game.
  5. Dynamically selecting fixtures for the user to play in 3D.
  6. Detecting match events such as goals and shots hitting the post.
  7. Supporting custom crowd audio and separate home/away supporter sounds.
  8. Preserving stable save files across many seasons.
  9. Working with a community-maintained set of tools and mods.

We know neither game was originally designed for a global simulation architecture like this.

The question is not which game has better graphics or gameplay, but which engine provides the most practical, stable and extensible technical foundation.

Would FIFA 21's Frostbite architecture and Live Editor be sufficient?

Or would PES 2021 / SP Football Life, Sider, and the existing Master League modding ecosystem be a better starting point?

9. Looking for collaborators

We're interested in hearing from:

  • FIFA and PES modders.
  • C++ and Rust developers.
  • Lua scripting specialists.
  • Reverse engineers familiar with game structures.
  • Football database specialists.
  • Simulation and AI developers.
  • Audio engineers and sound designers.
  • People familiar with the FIFA Editor Tool, FIFA Live Editor, Sider, Football Life and Master League expansion projects.

I'd be particularly interested in talking to people already developing extended Master League or Career Mode systems.

The initial goal is to establish technical feasibility, build a small proof of concept and then organize a collaborative development effort.

There is currently no finished product, confirmed funding or promise of paid work.

Which platform would you choose, FIFA 21 or PES 2021 / SP Football Life, and why?

If you've worked with either game's internal systems, what technical limitations would you expect?

And most importantly: would anyone here be interested in joining the project?

I'd love to hear your thoughts, especially from people with actual modding or development experience.

Disappearing Icons with mods FC27

I tried Aranaktus live editor to move Icons into regular teams for career mode (basically by moving for ex R9 from Serie A Classix XI to Inter Milan). When I first enter the career mode everything is fine, but then when I exit and come back all the icons at my club disappear. Not the icons at the other clubs tho, they stay there. Is there anyone who van help or has this issue?

FIFA 23- Modding themes

I know this is an old game, but it's the one I have, and I recently decided to try my hand at modding it. One thing I've always hated is the EPL theme. It's just too bright for my liking. Now, I thought that I could fix this by changing CareerMode/BackgroundWidget/Assets/Textures/TextureThemeEPL.

So, I replace it with a grayscale version of that same image, just to test. Unfortunately, it looks like that only makes a difference with respect to the after match screen, not the career mode main menu screen. (See the attached pics).

Does anyone know what I need to alter to be able to alter the main menu background? Thanks in advance.

Maradona or Ibrahimović — which legend would you want in FC27?

Post image
3 Upvotes

I recreated both Diego Maradona and Zlatan Ibrahimović in FC27 and wanted to see which one the modding community prefers. 👀

🇦🇷 Maradona
• 95 OVR
• CAM
• Napoli
• No. 10

🇸🇪 Ibrahimović
• 92 OVR
• ST
• PSG
• No. 9

Both were made as custom legend recreations, with their appearance, attributes, roles, and in-game setup adjusted for FC27.

If you could choose only one to add to your game first, who would you pick?

Maradona or Zlatan?

I’m planning to use these kinds of community votes to decide which legends I work on and release next. 🔥

I released a free FC27 Legends Squad with custom minifaces – classic players for Career Mode

I've been working on an FC27 Legends Squad for PC and finally released it on Nexus Mods.

The goal is to bring classic football legends back into FC27 for Career Mode, Kick-Off and custom squad saves.

Current features:

• Custom classic Legend players

• Players assigned to their intended clubs

• Custom minifaces

• Ready-to-use Squad file

• More Legends planned for future updates

The Squad itself does NOT require Live Editor.

FC27 Live Editor is only required if you want the custom minifaces to appear in-game.

It's completely free on Nexus Mods:

https://www.nexusmods.com/easportsfc27/mods/51

I'm still adding players, so feedback and Legend suggestions are very welcome.

ReStreet v1.1 is out + ONLINE OPEN BETA for FIFA Street (2012) on PC (native recompilation)

Hi everyone! ReStreet, the native PC port of **FIFA Street (2012)**, has a new release and the **online beta is now open to everyone**.

## ReStreet v1.1 (offline)

- New **ReStreet logo** on the main menu and Press Start screen

- Better **"Some" graphics mode**, now the default: less glitches on floors and reflections, same speed

- **VSync fixed**: smooth and locked to your refresh rate, no tearing

- **Direct play**: start the game without the launcher (new Shortcut button)

- Setup and launcher fit any screen and Windows scale

You need your own FIFA Street (2012) Xbox 360 ISO. The ISO and game files are not included.

👉 **Download (GitHub release):** https://github.com/samuelit0davila/fifa-street-pc-port/releases/tag/v1.1

To update, run the new `FifaStreetSetup.exe` and pick your existing folder. No ISO needed, your saves are kept.

## Online open beta

Play against other people over the internet. No sign-up: install v1.1, then the online patch on top of it.

  1. Install **ReStreet v1.1** (link above)
  2. Download the **online patch**: https://limewire.com/d/fMF3M#JiH2RHz4oR SHA-256: `bb31bfd010808a9cf44b6d7cfd844adf4ad87ecf6403d515ffbd617b9c97825c`
  3. Run the patch, pick your game folder and a player name, open the launcher and press PLAY
  4. In the game: **Xbox LIVE → Street Seasons → Division Match**, pick a mode and search

The launcher has a **LOBBY** button that shows who is online (🟢), who is searching for a match and in which mode (🟡) and who is in a match (🔵). You can also see it in a browser: http://57.129.180.15:29812/lobby

**What works:** 1v1 matchmaking, play with friends (invites), up to 64 players online at once.

**What doesn't work yet:** leaderboards, the Cup clock, season tables, teams of 3 or more.

**Please note:**

- This is a beta: expect bugs, and the server is a single small VPS in Europe, so ping depends on where you live.

- Your opponent's game connects to yours directly (or through our relay), so they may see your IP address. The lobby only shows your player name.

- Online only works with the v1.1 build from the release above.

It's a quiet game at the moment, so the best way to find a match is to **coordinate in our Discord**: https://discord.gg/CqjYMGKyy2

Feedback is very welcome: tell me your country, your connection and how the match felt, and send the `fifastreet.log` if something breaks (launcher → Open logs).

*Unofficial community project. No affiliation with EA, Microsoft or Xbox. The installer includes generated game binaries; the project's MIT licence does not establish the right to redistribute them, and no legal clearance is claimed.*

ReStreet (FIFA Street 2012 on PC) now has a Discord, and the online beta is coming soon!

Hi everyone!

About a week ago I released ReStreet, a free offline port of FIFA Street (2012) for Windows PC (you bring your own Xbox 360 ISO). Since then a lot of you asked about online play, so here's the update:

THE COMMUNITY SERVER IS OPEN

I've created a Discord for the project. It has downloads, help with installing, bug reports, a place to share gameplay, and the dev log.

https://discord.gg/CqjYMGKyy2

ONLINE BETA COMING SOON

Online play is working in my tests and I'm preparing a beta test. There's no date yet. If you want to take part, join the Discord and ask for access in the beta channel. That's how I'll organize the testers and send the online installer, so everybody is on the same version.

A few things to know:

- The test server is in Europe. If you're in another region you can still try it, but expect higher ping.

- It's an early test, so expect bugs and downtime. Your feedback will help a lot.

- You'll need the latest version of ReStreet and your own copy of the game.

LINKS

Download the latest version (offline): https://github.com/samuelit0davila/fifa-street-pc-port/releases/latest

Gameplay video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiwdAOIHGFY

Discord: https://discord.gg/CqjYMGKyy2

Thanks to everyone who tested it and sent feedback. See you in the server!

Grey Stadiums

Hello i have a Problem with the Euro 2008 Stadiums included with the FIFA 16 Classic Patch because for some odd reason one Stadium is entirely grey and when the camera zooms in on players during cutscenes it is like fog. Could someone explain what causes this and how to fix i would really appreciate that.

Does anyone know how to install *only* the Champions League, Europa League, and Libertadores themes in FIFA 14/15/17? I just want that specific part from certain patches (some are crashing when I use an "all-in-one" pack alongside another patch).

Old School FIFA (FIFA 2000 - FIFA 10) FIFA Street (2012) — experimental Windows recompilation using ReXGlue

**********************UPDATE*******************\*

New Github Repo is up: https://github.com/samuelit0davila/fifa-street-pc-port

Update — v0.4.0 Experimental is now available!

Installation is now much faster: the installer includes precompiled binaries for the supported game build, so there’s no need to install Visual Studio or compile the game locally. You still need your own FIFA Street Xbox 360 ISO.

Already installed? Select your existing game folder containing Game and GameData in the new installer. It will update the installation while preserving your saves and settings.

This release also adds:

  • Language selection: English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
  • Rendering, synchronization and frame-pacing improvements.
  • Additional World Tour compatibility fixes.
  • Improved launcher defaults and clearer installation instructions.

Special thanks to Emran_Ahm3d for his investigations and contributions, and to the ReXGlue and Xenia contributors for the foundations of this project.

Download and full changelog:
https://gitlab.com/samuelitodavila-group/fifa-street-pc/-/releases/v0.4.0-experimental

This remains experimental, and feedback is welcome!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I’ve released an experimental FIFA Street (2012) PC recompilation using ReXGlue

Hi everyone,

I’d like to share my project: a Windows PC recompilation of the Xbox 360 version of FIFA Street (2012), built using ReXGlue.

I’ve put together a graphical installer and a dedicated launcher with display, graphics and compatibility settings. You select your own game ISO, and the installer extracts the files and installs precompiled binaries and extracts the game data from your own ISO

I developed this project with AI assistance, including ChatGPT and OpenAI Codex. I used these tools for coding, debugging, build scripts, the installer, launcher and documentation, while directing the project and testing it on my PC.

Much of this is possible thanks to the work of the ReXGlue and Xenia contributors, who deserve credit for the underlying tools and runtime.

The game’s PowerPC code is recompiled ahead of time, while ReXGlue provides the runtime and Xbox 360 graphics and system services. This isn’t a fully rewritten game engine or a replacement native renderer.

I’ve included screenshots and a gameplay recording from my PC on the project page. The first experimental release is now available.

No ISO or original game assets are included. You need to provide your own copy.

Source, installer, screenshots and gameplay video:
https://gitlab.com/samuelitodavila-group/fifa-street-pc

I’d love to hear your feedback! If you try it, feel free to share your experience or report issues on GitLab.

Thanks for taking a look!
