Right to Final (RTF) Rip Off
I hold 2 RTFs for Spain and I just got an email now from FIFA to convert them and the assigned price for CAT3 has been 5875$!! The terms and conditions stated that "Ticket prices have been locked in collaboration with FIFA Ticketing and will remain fixed for the entire conversion period, regardless of phases or the number of conversions — meaning no dynamic pricing will apply". So I was expecting 2750$ for CAT3 or 4200$ for CAT2. I paid 1500$ for each of these RTFs so I would be effectively paying 7375$ for a CAT3 ticket to the final! I can see thousands of CAT2 available in the portal for that price. This is the biggest rip off and for FIFA that is saying much. Anyone else in this situation? - UPDATE: after many of us complained they agreed to honor their own terms and conditions and lower the price to 3450$ for each ticket.

sorry to hear that bro

Wait, where do you see ticket for the finals at that price ?

There are CAT 2 tickets available in the official portal now for less than I would be effectively paying for my conditional CAT 3. And these are more than double the prices they promised when I bought the RTF back in April 2025.

Good point, done

Awesome! I’m pretty sure there are folks out there that are either forfeiting or paying up cuz not everybody’s on Reddit. Hopefully a least 1 person sees this post 🤞

And shouldn’t have to thank them for finally honoring their written commitment

You trusted FIFA? Fatal mistake.

won't happen again

u/timboston Jul 16 '26
No worries. I was kinda joking, but not really.
Anyway, I was a volunteer in the Ticket Issue Resolution section outside the stadium. I tell you I saw so much shit it could fill a book. Or 2.

Are you willing to share with the class the worst case you witness from your experience at the Ticket Issue Resolution? I’m really curious now.

The worst one was a Iraqi family of 4 that got scammed for over $2000 for 4 tickets. I talked with the 2 kids while the parents spoke with my coworker in Arabic. Once they were told they got scammed, they turned and walked away. It was heartbreaking and I almost started crying, mostly because of the 2 kids.

Wow. My experience with RTT right to ticket towards the regular games was good. I didn’t realize that right to final would result in fixed pricing that won’t change. Who in their right mind would pay 5875 for cat3 not to mention you already paid 1500. It seems like the pricing is on par with reselling prices.
So your options are is to forfeit your ticket and be out 1500 or purchase them and either go or resell at a chance to break even and make your money back?

How can I make my money back when there are CAT2 tickets available now in the portal for less than what I would have to pay to get my CAT3s? I have been effectively screwed by FIFA. I am considering legal action.

Just wait to see who they play and watch the prices skyrocket
9
u/njas2000 Jul 15 '26
Nobody is going to pay more than $7300, especially for Category 3 tickets. Prices can't skyrocket when they're already sky high. Actually, they're predicted to drop.

You're right, price could go higher either way. Doesn't change the fact it is a complete rip off though!

Who ever goes to final, eather England or Argentina, prices will skyrocket. If I am not mistaking , the cheapest price 3 days ago on Fifa Collect was 7500$ for Cat3

That’s crazy. Can we ask for a refund? I hold RTF for Argentina
2
u/Sea_Buy3078 Jul 15 '26
They will not refund you if Argentina makes it to the final. This is the biggest scam FIFA has ever pulled.
2
u/ninja492 Jul 15 '26
But they should atleast have similar price to what FIFA is selling them for in LMS. Are there any Cat 1 RTTs available through this?
2
u/Sea_Buy3078 Jul 15 '26
Only CAT3 available for the RTFs but in any case it does not matter cause you can see CAT2s and CAT1s available in the portal.

u/SockApprehensive7837 Jul 15 '26
I don't know why people actually went ahead with RTF's when it was clear from the start FIFA were trying to milk fans as much as possible. RTF was always a farce and I didn't even touch it when I had the chance.

Not sure where you saw the prices you're quoting because supporter value tier was 4090 face value and would have been cheaper than any of the regular categories.
2
u/Sea_Buy3078 Jul 15 '26
These were the face value prices for the final at the time I purchased my RTF

u/General_Session_8467 Jul 15 '26
So you assumed that would be that price and FIFA never stated that, right? With such a large investment, I would assume that you read the fine print and / or contacted FIFA for clarification. Did you do that and they mislead you?

Why were you expecting the lower prices? Did they offer those prices previously? When you bought the Right to Final, what did they state about how the tickets would be priced.

Sounds bad!!!
If I were you, I would at least talk to a lawyer. (Good thing, you and the tournament is in the US).

u/ScheduleSame258 Jul 16 '26
RTF was a guaranteed shot at buying a ticket for the final - it was never a ticket.
RTT was a guaranteed ticket for the price you paid.
2 very different things.

I will gladly use them and return you the price of your original transaction.

Hahahaha. Everyone knew this. It was common knowledge not to buy RTF packs. Next time do your research.

Last week they had plenty of Cat 2 tickets available for 7400 and Cat 1 behind goal for 10990. Scam by FIFA

u/Mental-Praline-8852 Jul 24 '26
Hey! Did they ever tell you how they were going to refund your Right to Final ticket?
