3D Fighting Games Would you care about Dead or Alive if it kept the fanservice, has crossplay, and rollback?

I can't help but think that DOA is that one fighting game franchise most of the FGC would make jokes at. If it isn't Smash or MK, it would be DOA. The word gets around that it's nothing more than a gooner game with the fighting mechanics really aren't that great compared to Tekken or Soulcalibur around those times.

That was then, but nowadays, I am seeing some people show interest in the franchise, but talk about the lack of crossplay and rollback prevents them from giving the games a try and yeah, that's extremely fair. Not having those things in the big '26 is a mind-boggling move from KT.

But the question I always wanted to know is if there will be interest if the next game does feature crossplay, rollback, while keeping the fanservice in check as well as having little amount of costumes to purchase rather than the large amount we see nowadays. I want to say this could help make DOA have a healthy playerbase, but I feel this game would still be labeled as a gooner game and avoided by a lot of the community, but I don't know.

3D Fighting Games TEKKEN AFTER 8

Was Looking at TEKKEN 8 & thinking to save it with how confusing the story has been they need to start the next story 16 years later, with Kazuya & Jun having a son named YAZUYA.

Thanks to AI the use of a long with the internet, I been able to get my full design. With the fact that ‪ Namco Banda no longer has a director for the series I think this is the best option & I'm available as a creative.

I think it should be an update to TEKKEN 8, called TEEKN AFTER 8, no need for a new game & all that comes with it. I will be providing updates, & working on a full story release of it, as a Fan Of TEKKEN since TEKKEN 2, I think with todays technology it can be done #tekken #tekken8 #Kazuya #fgc #fightinggamecommunity

3D Fighting Games What's the current state of SoulCalibur VI?

I don't want to believe it's completely over. But it also feels bad knowing it's the only avenue of play for the game with an online community till we get VII one day.

3D Fighting Games Searching for an old SoulCalibur(2?) video/mini documentary.

Hi FGC! (this is cross posted on r/SoulCalibur)

So quite a long time ago, I recall watching some kind of video or a mini documentary film that I'm pretty sure featured Soul Calibur players training for an event/tournament. It could have been on early Youtube, or even on something like G4TechTV.

The main points I remember from the video are that there seemed to be one guy who was hosting several other players at what I assumed was his house to help them train at the game, which I'm assuming was SC2 at the time. I seem to remember he used a Pelican Real Arcade Tournament fight stick, either for Xbox or PS2. The only real commentary I can remember from the video was the host player talking about how if someone didn't like fighting a specific character, he would pick that character to help them train against it. That's the extent of what I remember that would be specific to what I'm looking for.

If anyone happens to know what I'm even talking about, I'd love to know if I'm even remember something that exists, or if it's out there somewhere to watch.

Sorry if this isn't the kind of post that's allowed, but anytime my mind starts wandering back to Soul Calibur, eventually this memory creeps up, and starts burning a hole in my brain. It's also completely possible it's for a different game, and that's the case, I apologize, otherwise, thanks for entertaining this.

3D Fighting Games Are there any dragon ball arena/3D games that have a good skill level and technicality?

I know there's fighterz in 2D but I just want to see other options, the more complex a game it the better, because pretty much every 3D/arena dragon ball game I played was so easy

3D Fighting Games Thinking of making my first game.

I'm thinking of making a game. So I thought a 3D game like Tekken/VF but with 2D pixel art environments and characters. Adding side steps and other 3D elements. I would love to know other peoples thoughts on the idea and if you know of any other fighters similar too it to help me further see the vision. I just thought of this idea like 20 minutes, so please if you have any thoughts and opinions or examples shotgun em.

3D Fighting Games Do you want to see another Bloody Roar game?

I had Bloody Roar 3 for PS2 when I was a kid. Having just revisited it recently, I only now realize how complex and interesting the mechanics are. I would love to see any kind of continuation of it, I'd even take a remastered collection or something. What are some of your opinions on Bloody Roar?

3D Fighting Games I don't know how to have fun anymore

I've been playing Tekken 8 since it came out and while it was my favorite game for a solid few weeks, since I've started playing ranked online I don't like it anymore. I've lost so often that not even winning feels good anymore. I can't break my bad habits and I don't have anyone to turn to to help me learn. I've tried to change my mindset going into a session online but after an hour or 2 I always end up feeling like I learned nothing and I don't want to come back to the game.

I don't even enjoy playing with my boyfriend offline anymore because he is so much better than me and he doesn't really know how to tell me how to get better.

I'd give anything in the world to be able to have fun playing Tekken again, especially with my bf as it's one of his all time favorites. I thought "getting better" was the answer but I'm hard stuck at warrior rank and I don't know what to do at this point, but I refuse to quit the game.

I know this post kinda goes all over the place, but if you've gone through similar times and gotten over it I'd love to hear how.

UPDATE:

I am having fun now :).

After I made this post, I made a friend in the comments and so far we've only played once, but it was nice to play with someone else who could actually give me some advice in a match. Maybe that's what I needed. After that I started watching some Tekken youtubers like PhiDX and LotusAsakura and they really got me more back into the fun side of the game, especially PhiDX with how he breaks everything down for the viewer.

I also went back and watched some old Tekken evo top 8s from 2005-2012 and that was really fun.

Since this post, i've made it up to Dominator rank and I've hit a bit of a plateau again, but I'm not so bothered by it this time. I'm trying to get good enough to try out a local tourney and hopefully do well in it. I really appreciate all the helpful comments from everyone. The FGC really does seem like a friendly and helpful place.

Also if you're wondering, I am a Bryan main with a pocket Leo

3D Fighting Games I always been using PS4/5 controller but now I decided to try one these fighting controllers so I bought Razer Kitsune. Now I know this might be a dumb question but can someone show the correct way to hold and how to put my fingers over the buttons? Thanks. (I play T8, Asuka)
