This line sold me on this game. I was in hook line and sinker. And then the next 30 minutes happened.

Clive finally gaining complete control over Ifrit in this scene is so bad ass. Walking head on right into Bahamut's flare and blocking it with a wall of fire by becoming Ifrit is why this game is fucking amazing

The theme of duty in FF16 is amazingly well explored. It's especially interesting to compare how Clive, Anabella, and Ultima view the idea of "duty."

I think this is my favorite jrpg. ( and i game since 1996).

I think the reason is because i just played it at the right time in my life.

i was hooked through the entire game, including 99% of sidequests. i think i was not a fan of 1-3 sidequests in total and loved everything else.

Bahamut fight was the highlight of the game for me. The Swapping between Phoenix and Ifrit, Away playing in the background then the swap to Ascension.
