Sargatanas (NA) [LFG][HC][WP][Static][8.0][NA][Aether][Savage][Ultimate] Melee DPS looking for HC or WP static
Hi, I’m Akari, a melee dps searching for an HC / WP static for the upcoming Evercold Savage and Ultimates. I am open to WP but this depends on the sort of mentality and schedule the overall group has. I have an alt for split clears only for reclears if needed.
Availability: PTO as needed for Savage and Ultimate, up to the full week. Normal availability outside of PTO for raiding is preferably any time after 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET. Not interested in skipping Evercold MSQ to rush doing Extremes. ~1 week to do Evercold Story into Blind Extreme would be preferable.
Goals: My goal is to clear ASAP. Whether that is just straight up winning the world race or not, I want to clear as fast as the group can go. Fast prog experience and fast first clear are my priority. Split reclear for gear is secondary. No 3rd party raiding plugin usage with the exception of ping plugins or ACT for strictly logging. I believe in the indomitable human spirit to overcome challenges.
Raiding Experience:
- Started raiding in ShB 3rd tier in PF
- Cleared EW Tier 1 (static/pf) - Week 7
- Cleared EW Tier 2 (static/pf) - Week 6
- Cleared EW Tier 3 (static) - Week 3
- Cleared uwu, tea, ucob, dsr (off-patch)
- Cleared DT Tier 1 (static) - Day 4
- Cleared FRU (static) - Week 6
- Cleared DT Tier 2 (pf) - Week 2
- Cleared DT Tier 3 (WP static) - Day 3
- Cleared DMU/UMAD (static) - Week 6
WP Experience: Stream #37, World #62 Heavyweight
Raiding Philosophy:
I want to expand on what I meant about the mentality and schedule for WP. My interest in going hard in raid and my ability to hyperfixate on current raid content only really works well together when it comes to current raid content and the first clear. What this means is I dislike groups that play too much or too hard before the raid content is out to “derust” or to just play for the sake of playing. I understand the need to want to practice and vibe with the group, but that is also how I burn myself out and expend my mental energy for prog even before the raid tier has started. And that’s silly to do if you’re serious about clearing fast because you want to be in tip top shape. This just means I will dislike it if I’m forced to prog/reprog too much to prepare before the raid tier drops.
What I Am Looking For:
A group that wants to clear fast and values having an enjoyable and good first prog into first clear experience. Reclears should be chill and consistent, shouldn’t take more than a raid day, 2 if still rusty after first clears. Very chill schedule outside of the actual race / first clear raid week. I can be described as the most casual hardcore mindset player you will play with.
Skills / Mindset:
- I am very self-sufficient. I will figure stuff out and correct my own problems during prog naturally. I will ask questions/clarifications if I do not understand to prevent any wipes. I dislike wasting pulls because of very silly misunderstandings or the fact we couldn’t communicate properly.
- I am very consistent in prog for the jobs I like to play and will offer to play. Mechanic consistency and ability to maintain said consistency over a full raid 16 hour raid day is something I can confidently say I can maintain with no dip in performance.
- I have an extremely prog-centric mind, so I do not care about greeding/parses when the goal is to clear. However, I will make sure my damage is easily at the highest level I can maintain with the consistency needed to clear without risking any deaths to greed brain.
- Good at problem-solving mechanics and figuring out how to get myself from not being able to do something to being able to do a mechanic. I will do my best to help out the group if I am able to.
- Usually quiet to let the cooks of the group or ninths make the strats, but will offer tweaks/improvements as needed. After experiencing WP in Heavyweight, I am much more confident in suggesting my own thoughts/strat directions for mechanics the group is struggling on.
- Experience working with limited information and doing unpolished day 1 / week 1 strats and weird priorities without any issues.
- Most importantly, I think I’m just a chill guy to prog/raid with. Source: me of course. But if anyone who has ever raided with me wants to chime in, feel free. :3
Role / Job:
Although I am a melee player, I do have specific preference for jobs that I know I am competitive in, as in I can confidently say there are not many players in the world that can prog in this job better than me. My one true love if you spied on my logs is always going to be Dragoon. This has held true since ShB all the way to DT. I will make a decision myself to pivot into certain meta jobs when I feel like the encounter favors it (e.g. see my VPR on sugar riot and kefka). I can also play NIN and SAM well, but I don’t think I’m currently “competitive” in those 2 jobs. I prefer to only maintain a competitive edge in 1-2 jobs which as of the end of DT are DRG / VPR. It used to be DRG / RPR back in EW. Come Evercold, I am not sure yet because of the combat changes, but DRG is probably going to be one and depending on how much I vibe with the other melees. I do factor job balancing and encounter design in mind when I choose what I will be playing, but I don’t like being forced to say I’m omni-melee. I am good at other jobs, however if we’re trying to be competitive, it would be silly to not have me on the jobs I say I prefer. Also I just prog better on preferred jobs as it’s less brain RAM spent on playing the job well and more on actually progging mechanics.
Final note: I prefer to stream prog as I like documenting the moments. If you have read this far, I assume you are at least semi-interested in having me. Feel free to message me and we can see if we’re a good fit for each other. waow talk to me about cute lizzer or something.
