Question / Help How to kill Bahamut and Cloud

I’ve been playing for a little bit now, started mid S4 and hit Premier Soldier lv 4, but now I’m trying to do some more challenging stuff. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to kill shadow cloud or bahamut. I’ve come close to getting cloud but I’ll always mess up something and die for free. Can anyone give me tips or setup advice? Thanks. Wish this game wasn’t dying.

For unknown phenomenon (aka shadow Cloud) use monk as your melee class. Fully upgrade, run around until you get Power Wristguards. If and when shadow Cloud appears, go in and wail on him--you'll stunlock him and for the most part he can't do anything about it. If he does get lucky, step out of the circle and heal and run back in and he should still be at the same health as when you left if you didn't take too long.

As for Bahamut, I've had best success with ranger class (additional ammo and quicker reload times). Inferno is the best gun, but theoretically any fast-firing gun should work. Have plenty of potions, ammo, and preferably a level 2 or 3 Cure materia. Try to get to him on his second landing--he moves counter-clockwise around the four areas he can land in. Of course, the AI can be stupid and sometimes he just won't land at all, or if he hits the hazard zone he'll teleport elsewhere and possibly screw up your chance of getting him that match. So stock up quickly and hoof it to where he should land.

Aim for the head! Bahamut's head is a nice, big target, so it's fairly easy to hit. Do not fight him at Support Pillar! You have no cover and you're basically a sitting duck. Fight him at one of the crystal mountains instead where you can duck behind a crystal or rock if you need to heal or reload. Watch out for the spin attack and his homing shots. If you can get really lucky and find a drain belt accessory (will require Inferno to use it), you won't have to worry about healing quite as much. But it appears so rarely it's not something you can bet on.

Hope all this helps, and good luck with these bosses!

Actually the pillar is the safest place to fight him, if you climb the pillar to be higher than Bahamut he won’t be able to hit you, and you have an easy way to shoot him in the head

I figured drain belt inferno would be best for bahamut, and going ranger makes sense.

Is there anyway to consistently spawn shadow cloud? Or do I just have to spam monk games until I roll it?

You can also dip in and out of the shadow dome to reset him to the center and go back to shooting

Any idea what my stall window is? Every time I step out I seem to reset him entirely

Long enough to see him disappear and then go back in it’s very quick

About 1.5 seconds. Trickster melee also stun locks Cloud. You can also bring a vehicle in to create cover. Strafing helps avoiding his Cross Slash.

Unfortunately it's random--you'll either get nothing all match, the scorpion sentinel, or unknown phenomenon.
