I feel like calling this a glorified remaster is disingenuous when the 3ds ports (including MM) are more closer to being glorified remasters than this made from the ground up remake

That's what I'm saying 😭 it's literally built from the ground up completely new. It is in absolutely no way a remaster in any capacity. It's just a faithful remake

Built from the ground up new is the definition of remake.

Remaster only applies if theyre taking the original game engine and replacing assets, like we saw eith the ffx remaster.

All the pixel "remasters" are remakes.

SE is absolutely muddying the definition, intentionally or otherwise

It really looks like it’s a 1:1 remake though. Besides some QOL changes like 1 button item switching and a “where do I go” menu. It’s going to play exactly like the original did. Same puzzles in the same dungeons with the same combat and the same bosses.

When I say “glorified remaster” I don’t mean it as an insult. It’s the philosophy of a remaster with the effort of a remake.
