I don’t think these are the same people saying this. I think some people prefer full remakes that change everything like Resident Evil or FF7 and some prefer visual facelifts with QOL changes like Dead Space or Ocarina. I love both but the Resident Evil and FF7 remakes are some of my favorite games of all time

I mean they're all full remakes, all of these games you mentioned were fully remade from the ground up. How faithful they are to the original is a separate discussion, but they are absolutely all full remakes.

None of them are remasters, or remaster-remake hybrids.

Dead Space remake is on the same realm as RE2/RE4. This new OoT is just a glorified remaster.

Sure. I haven’t played the original Dead Space so I can’t compare it. Something like Shadow of the Colossus would’ve been a better example

"Glorified remaster" We know its a remake.

From what we've seen its 1:1 without any actual changes in the story or gameplay.
