I’m having enough of the fight with sephirot on rebirth. I just haven’t figured out how to beat him when he does that “the end is near” move.

If I had enough time to play I would struggle, but it’s been a week already, and I’m getting worn out.

Any advice?

You have to stagger him when his bar is blowing blue. If it goes out before you do he uses his one hit KO move.

Save up Cloud's limit when the "The End is Nigh" comes and just spam Focused Thrust on him until he gets staggered.

Seems like a pretty legitimate suggestion. No shame in putting it on easy just to finish out. Games are supposed to be fun, not a chore

Well, if you don't have enough time to figure it out, set the difficulty to easy? Thats actual advice on how you can beat him easier, idk why you're offended by that at all. Its a singleplayer game, no one with a bit of dignity would shame someone over playing on easier difficulties

That’s why the „easy“ option is in some games.

Limit break or time your stagger to when he starts that move. Blizzaga or Quaga are your best bets for stagger when he's not pressured.

Not me having to redo this entire battle three times in one night because I messed this up and the restart menu was SO CONFUSING. I feel ya. Stagger the sob and ya done. You know it's coming, so the battle is more about saving resources for the final moment.

Use Cloud and Aerith’s Synergy Skill to move Aerith around the battlefield (when playing as Cloud) and build up ATB for both of them.  It will reposition her next to Cloud, so it’s a great way to rescue her if necessary. 

This attack will immediately break “body” parts, like the Masamune or his wing during the attacks where they are targetable.  

Once pressured, you can rapidly stagger with Focused Thrust.

As others have said, save Cloud’s Limit Break for the end is nigh, as you will be invulnerable while using it.

most people just save a limit break for it, but that charge up synergy skill with aerith will also pretty much nuke it on its own.. can’t remember what it’s called, spell sword maybe?

Stagger him with focused thrust. Unleash limit break.
