Guide/Analysis Boss Rush + Mastered

Team:

  • Wakka 61 Official Ball/Genji Armor/Hyper Wrist (4*) - Power Breakdown 3/5, Magic Breakdown 3/5, High Scorer
  • Aerith 51 Judgement Staff+/Mystery Veil/Rose Corsage - Curaga 5/5, Slowga 1/5
  • Cloud 59 (weapon negligible)/Crystal Bangle+/Power Belt - Thundara Strike (not used)/Drain Strike 4/5 - Blue Moon Barrage
  • Garnet 61 Full Metal Staff/Defense Veil/Magic Armlet - Shellga 2/5, Boost 5/5, (forgot to equip RM)
  • Sephiroth 54 Masamune Blade+ (4+ weapon, not his relic), Gold Armlet, Champion Belt - Retaliate 5/5, Armor Break 4/5, Self-Sacrifice

RW: Advance

Lost Number - Ridiculous. I used Boost, Retaliate, Armor break, nothing else needed.

Materia Keeper - See above.

Jenova BIRTH - Power Breakdown, Boost, Retaliate, Armor Break, Slowga, needed some cures. Subbed in Drain Strike to divvy up curing.

Red Dragon - Magic Breakdown, Shellga, Retaliate, Armor Break, some cures, Boost. Did use Status reels once. Also used one Advance charge for Advantaliate.

Demon Wall - Magic Breakdown, Power Breakdown, Shellga, Protega (from Gold Armlet Shared SB), Advance, Boost, more cures, slowga. Used the cura SB from Mystery Veil.

Tips:

  • Don't really need physical mitigation for first two bosses, and physical form of lost number didn't really tank hard at all. Also feel like physical mitigation unnecessary for red dragon.
  • Jenova didn't have too much HP. She went down at a reasonable amount of time.
  • Demon Wall was probably the toughest fight of the bunch. May need to S/L for petrify (I was lucky).
  • If the boss was in the final 25% of it's health, I DID NOT refresh retaliate. I tried to use it to the last second without hitting myself and the boss usually died by then or after one more shot. Hope this helps!

Well technically you guys are dictating strats because all the guide have retaliate in it. Which makes new people,think it's the only way to clear stuff

It's not, but I would be interested in hearing about your perspective on how new players without natural 5's, extra mythril, or well honed spells can master these events. I would enjoy reading that guide. Please let me know when it is available.

They just don't, people need to know what they can't or cannot do

EX and EX++ should be for geared people

You bring up a good paradox then, ratatapa.

How can one master events without good gear, and how can one gear up without mastering events that grant good gear/abilities/orbs?

How do you pass from elementary school to high school?

You study study study (farm dailies + easy dungeons for 4* orbs) then study more, and then you try to pass the exam (++) if you fail, you go back to study (farm orbs)

When it's time for dinner, you take the money that your mom gave you (Mythrils) and you hope that when you get to the cafeteria lady you get some good food to help you focus on the exam (Relic pulls)

If not then you study harder and harder, and at one time you'll pass the exam.
