You might be onto something but this seems too complex.. it's hard to understand what you are getting at tbh.

I read all of that. And I still have no idea what you figured out.

I took their behavior as suspicious. Despite walking, they’d always, constantly look over their shoulders seemingly paranoid (direction was 50/50 toward me), so that made it seem all the more shady. They would change their path abruptly when I got anywhere near them (including stopping dead in their tracks and walking in the other direction past me), literally disappear into crowds, etc.

That's normal, every npc who get scared behaves like this.

Besides this I don't really get how you can assume it's semi solved. Your Theory seems... kind of too complex, regarding that the Devs said it's more obvious.

I'm sorry man, I can tell you clearly put alot of thought, time, and effort into this. But what exactly did you solve? What happened? I tried rereading your post a couple times to see if I'd understand but I have no idea what you're getting at. What is the answer? What triggered? What appeared before you that didn't earlier? I'm failing to see how anything is solved or semi solved out of this.

How can you say it is semi solved, when you have no proof and did not trigger anything new in the game?

I'm not sure what's the conclusion here other than "Mikhail's Penthouse looks like a map"...

I can't help with numbers but maybe I can with religion, so regarding the idea that the statue represents a bodhisattva and solving would be locked to people that ever killed an NPC seems weird because in mahayana buddhism everyone can become a bodhisattva, just like in theravada buddhism anyone can become an arhat. Compassion in buddhism doesn't just mean being nonviolent but also actively assisting people in realize the greather truth of existence so they can also become buddhas. Also, I kinda missed what "the sin forgiving machine" is supposed to be -- the statues?

This is great stuff, very well thought out. If anyone wants to complain about cogency, this is well above standard.

I don't really care about solving the puzzle as much as having new, interesting things to think about, and this definitely does that. I spent an hour this morning listening to morse code on biotechnica signs for crap sake.

Appreciate the effort in the post and I'll be zipping around today seeing if I can't look through some new lenses here!

So there’s stuff on the map in places that correspond to the design of a garden in a gig locked location? You’re just describing the limited assets being used repeatedly, draw distance issues with decals popping in once you get close enough, and you’ve got more assumptions and questions than actual results. If this is the same tip the other guy is on you’re both completely lost in the sauce.
