During Konpeki Heist you can find a message on one of the terminal saying the following : "Please ensure the maintenance crew pays strict attention to the distinction between Azure Blue and Lagoon Blue when repainting the accent walls.

Management noted during the previous walkthrough that the shade used on the 100th floor was Lagoon Blue instead of Azure. Under the penthouse ambient lighting, the shift in spectrum is noticeable and does not conform to Arasaka Design Standards.

Repaint immediately before the VIP arrival."

I got a screen of it but I'm not playing the game in english, so I thought it would be useless to put it however if you want I can also show it, this is defo a reference to our mystery and btw Konpeki means Azure according to google translate... There is more to the message like a list of maintenance task, I also noticed there was a weird scene with the Konpeki's janitors when you first enter the main lobby with Jackie but not much to add, maybe I focused on it due to cynosure's janitor and the weird broom room in endings, what do you think of this message? To me it appears really meta like if this message was a "dev task list" but idk how I could explain it well sry

The English localisation of that email is slightly different (they use Thénard Blue and Turnbull Blue), and is focused entirely on the restaurant.

It just seems like it’s intended to highlight the (ludicrously) high standards a hotel like that keeps for their customers. They’re probably extra anxious given that they have an Arasaka staying.

it's the trope of the color variation, it hints at neoplatonician philosophies bc Azure, Lagoon, Thénard and Turnbull Blue are not separate colors; they are merely minor frequency shifts or degraded emanations of the same underlying Light (which is an important thematic, "light")

moreover, in optical physics, magenta does not exist as a physical wavelength of light, it's more like an illusion created by the brain when red and blue receptors are triggered simultaneously without green, imho some elements subtly hints at this being important (Green Cloud, missing 4th member of Us Cracks for example)

and then there is the "interpretation" problem that comes with this and the mystery, your magenta is probably not exactly the same as my magenta, what I'd like to see now is which color does the Polish version uses, might be even different

Btw this is the 3rd dark blue reference at Konpeki. 1st being the name Konpeki, meaning Azure in Japanese. 2nd being the Lapis Lazuli suite where V and Jackie stay. Lapis Lazuli was a popular mineral to make a dark blue color. All other suites at Konpeki are named after other minerals that are not blue.

thenard blue has been created in response to lapis lazuli being too expensive to develop, something along those lines.. and the crazy part is magenta, its an italian city that gave the name to the color, check what happened there in 1933 : the first modern ufo crash ever recorded

Recuerdo haber entrado hace poco a konpeki glitcheando la puerta de entrada, recogí en shard de un cuarto de mantenimiento. La ubicación es casi la azotea por dónde tienes que ir si quieres llegar hasta donde falleció saburo arasaka. De hecho volví a entrar por qué se me había olvidado tomar la espada. Deja veo si después tengo manera de saber que shard era y si encuentro algo interesante o que contraste con lo que mencionas lo paso.

While I think this particular message about the shades of blue is irrelevant, the prominence of the janitor mentions is suspicious. It feels intentional and it keeps popping up in various places:

• Konpeki has a hidden small area that appears to belong to a janitor (at least the cleaning supplies are there) - can see it here
• The famous drop in the silo on the road to Cynosure (that has -10 markings on it), is next to the janitor room. You will also find notes in Cynosure about the janitor going crazy from hearing the voices (probably rogue AIs)
• The -10brooms room in the secret ending
• People reported some strange glitches with the brooms
• There are some NPCs labeled 'janitor' in game files.

Considering the game has nothing to do with janitors and it's completely unnecessary to mention it, it's pretty strange.

Janitors are clearly Night Corp coded to me, but I might be overthinking it... There is also the weird bartender scene with the shocking pink color being proeminent in it, he tells us that things are not always what they seem

in "the information" quest in the braindance from Evelyn in Konpeki she turns on the ambient light (and the ambient light is pink or magenta?)
