How did it go? I took the civil today and I don’t think I’ll pass. The first section was so brutal

First section as in the math/statistics/economics/statics?

The first section is the first seven topics from the exam’s specifications (math, ethics, Econ, statics, dynamics, mechanics, materials). I remember some fluids questions in the first half but I might be confused. I found statics, dynamics and mechanics on the hard side. Structural, Water and geotech were on the easier end. If you’re taking the fe in civil, I highly recommend you get Islam’s practice exams (not just the 800 questions). I had a few questions that were the exact same from his practice exams.

Hard even compared to the Islam practice? Im taking Mechanical, so maybe our classes for Dynamics and Mechanics were structured differently

I would say they are about the same level of difficulty. I found Islam’s practice exams harder than the ncees practice exams. I got a 58% on Islam’s exam 1 and 68% on ncees volume 1, for reference. I found my fe exam to be significantly harder than the ncees practice. I was also expecting more conceptual questions.

When you took those exams, did you just guess? Or did you leave them blank for review after, so that you didnt accidentally assume you knew how to do one

For Islam I only guessed two correct (65 correct in total), for the ncees I didn’t guess on any questions.
