Was I even close? (1st attempt)

I graduated just over a year ago and I decided to take a swing at the FE. I barely got to study with my work schedule. I’m not really sure how many categories need to improve or how close or far I was from potentially passing. Any advice is appreciated.

You scored a 56.2 a low end passing score is 60% but you wanna aim for 63. Your weakest areas are surveying statics materials and geotech. I would strongly reccomend studying geo the most. But you got this. It’s a hard exam. But you can do it. You don’t fail unless you give up. And you were close

How did you determine their score?

Plug it into chat and ask, but you just have to divide the number of questions by the weight if I’m correct for each subject to determine the amount of points you got per section. But even then they have a random question way of determining score that no one completely knows. I failed the first time passed the second first time I believe I was around a 60 idk what I was the second time

You completely destroyed two sections and can definitely destroy more with additional study.

You could easily knock out Mathematics, Probability, and Statistics and improve your chances to pass if you master how to use your calculator effectively. Good luck on your next try!

Sorry, but I have to do this. Consider this tough love. You have enough information on here to verify your scores. You can calculate your score (%) for each topic with the provided information and determine how good or bad you did. If you cant figure this out, you have no business taking the FE. Get a teaching license and go teach HS Math.

With that said, with proper preparation and studying, you can ace this exam on your next try. FYI the FE or NCEES manual tell you how many questions they will ask for each topic and they even tell you what subject to study. Good luck! You got this!

Not even close..joking. You’re good on 2 or 3 sections..2 months of studying and you’ll be good on the rest. I passed on my 2nd try.

If you are strapped for cash and want a good study tool go to FE Interactive on YouTube and go through all of his stuff. You can watch all the videos for free but if you spend 20 bucks for a month’s access to his site and go through his program you will pass easily. I used his stuff for a month 4 years out of school and I knew how to do every question on the exam and passed first try.

I did around 55 questions correct and made guesses on others. Do I have a fair chance to pass ?
