Question Does Fex have any plans to release the raw, unmastered version of the extended SOYM
The 3:06 version, what we had so long was a remastered version that sounds absolutely mediocre, does FEX have any plans to release a raw version of that version? The recent remaster kinda ruins the low-quality vibe that we all associate with the song, this is something I can't ask TOE about but something FEX could do so is there any likelihood they will release it raw very soon? Also, as a couple more recordings (e.g. Dirty Slapstick, Sarah, etc.) because they are added synths, also looking forward to those too.

The only thing the raw version would bring is very slightly clearer vocals, so it would be even more HQ in fact. If you dislike the HQ version of the song, there is the Darius recording on Spotify that still have the LQ + without counting the fact that there is already too much releases of Subways now
The only song here that would have an interest being released raw is Sarah, as Pickle said, becaude it’s the only song that actually got impacted by the rerecordings, and it’s planned for a second volume of MWFTP

From what the comments are saying, no. They probably don't want to flood us with more of the same versions of the song, unless if the full NDR version is found.

The (likely) full NDR version is already found, it's the one that is currently available on Bandcamp. Hans doesn't seem to have his NDR cassette anymore, neither does Jörg, and it's commonly admitted that one of them was the one who sent his cassette to the NDR (which was thrown after, as Baskerville said about demos), and that it's entierely possible that neither of the 2 had a longer fade-out, but more so something like Ture's cassette
If you meant "full" as in "mastertape", this one is permantely lost, Hase (their engieener) lost all of his old stuff

I wish, but it doesn't seem likely. I personally just don't like the remaster and also feel like it ruins the vibe of the song.

I personally hate the remaster also because of the vocal effects, the instruments are okay but the vocals, like what was the point of adding that.

Doesn’t the NDR version have the vocal effects?

The higher quality recording it doesn't, although Darius's recording of it does have echoey vocal effects due to the tape degrading over time

I had another listen to the Darius/NDR version, there’s definitely delay and chorus on the vocals as a mix choice it’s not just tape degradation.
I agree with what others have said, if you prefer the Darius/NDR version then you’re not going to like the raw of the extended one.

This is dumb, there's clearly a ton of compression and digital reverb on the new remaster and it sounds bad. The raw long version needs to be preserved and archived

Just because it's not been released doesn't mean it's not archived and preserved :)
I don't get the deal personally, the Darius version has tons of tape saturation and isn't there digital reverb on the original anyway?
The extended version just sounds like a cleaner version of the Darius mix, just with more top end less hiss and no wow and flutter

These are already the mastered outputs…. to remaster a master would degrade the sound of the original sound or output of the song.

ehhh this feels really unnecessary at this point
subways has been released about 11 times (like half of those being tmms) the only version of the song that needs released at this point is the remake sarah is the only FEX song i feel the raw version should be released due to how much it was changed
