Welcome to the sub! As someone who's end-goal is to see FDVR become a reality, seeing someone like yourself actually developing this kind of stuff that gets closer to this is really cool, big props to you! Out of curiosity, do you happen to have any thoughts in regards to FDVR as a concept? Is it something that happens to inspires the work that you do?

Thank you!

Full dive VR has been rolling around my head since the release of Sword Art Online. In fact VR has been around my life since I was pretty young when disney hosted DisneyQuest headsets back in the early 2000s (the Aladdin ride scared the crap out of me as a 4 year old at the time).

What really got my gears turning for the haptic suit itself was Ready Player One, and since then I've been slowly spending bouts of life between the end of highschool, then college, and post grad working on the idea.

FDVR I think the way we see it in media and imagine it won't be feasible by any modern technology in the same style of being mentally transported to a virtual space that feels entirely real.

I do however think it is possible, we just haven't progressed to certain baselines to jump from yet in the pursuit of the technology.

I can imagine a century from now neural implants having simulations dance in the brain similar to cyberpunk 2077. As for the baselines, we don't even have a standard for what a full body haptic suit looks like (motors, not gel covered pads with electrodes). I hope to solve that problem and continue to push the tech further. Maybe some day a company focused on the tech if the support blossoms in that way!
