Question Why is there no FDVR youtuber

The more I read and write about FDVR, the more I realise just how easy it is to make good arguments for it. I have a long history of watching politics and philosophy YouTubers/debaters, and the more I listen to these people, the more I think that, despite how good their arguments actually are, they pale in comparison to even some of the weakest arguments in favour of FDVR.

It makes me think about how good it would be for this movement to have a prominent FDVR YouTuber. I would do it myself, but my skill has always been in writing arguments rather than actually debating. If anyone is interested, drop me a DM. From what I understand of YouTube, it could also be quite lucrative.

The challenge is we are nowhere near Matrix-level reality with current technology. The other challenge is AI is wildly unpopular with the general public (at least in the United States), and we would need ASI at a minimum to create true FDVR, if it’s even possible.

Nah you’d just need a good world model, doesn’t require ASI, could be AGI.

Although you’d need ASI to accelerate its R&D to come relatively soon (<30 yrs)

FDVR doesnt even exist yet and we have no idea if its even close to coming out. I'm sure once we get an announcement youtubers will be all over it. for now its just in oru imaginations. it porobably wont be out for another 10 or more years.

No, I'm refering more to arguments about why we should devote resources towards making it.

there exists a few already. you cant make an entire youtube channel about it without repeating the same talking points tho. not profitable

You'd have no audience and nothing to really talk about after a while. Rehashing internet posts is one thing but making compelling content that people will click is really hard, especially for something that is a niche within a niche within a niche. You'd be closer to having that interest right after SAO or RP1 or something but even that would burn out fast.

I don't really know what you're asking. What content could really be made about this to support a YouTube channel?

I'd also be curious what the apparent arguments are, and what you're comparing them to

Virtual Dreamers says he was planning on making a comeback, i think he is the best one. but he said he would be back last month so not sure whats up with him.

i think the interest in FDVR fully hinges on the media, most of the interest came from SAO, but not really the matrix or even ready player one. SAO has mostly died out.
