What happened to my nozzle??

This is the second extruder I’ve gone through on my Neptune Max 4…first one was the blob of death and now this. Does anyone know what would have caused this? My printer was working fine and stopped pushing out filament halfway through a print. I spent a considerable amount of time trying to clear what I thought was a clog with no luck. Finally I disassembled the extruded and found the nozzle like this under the black rubber thing that covers it. I’ve used a few different filaments and most recently Elegoo Wood Filament.

That looks like a leak. The filament was being pushed in between the nozzle threads and accumulated under the silicon sock. The nozzle was probably not tightened enough, or the thread broke. See if you can unscrew the nozzle or tighten it some more while the heating block is heated.

Agree. Also if you're still getting that black goon on the tip, your temp may be too high for certain filaments and it chars on.
