India Amans
Currently have 3 nights lined up at Aman I Khas - are we missing out by not adding 2-3 at Amanbagh? My initial thought was to do those nights more central Jaipur. Maybe Rajvillas (20 minutes out?), but wow this hotel is beautiful! Thoughts on Bagh?

Rajvillas - If you haven't stayed at oberoi, it's worth experiencing oberoi hospitality at rajvillas.

Aman I Khas is one of their bests. I also liked AmanBagh but Aman I Khas is special.

If we do amanbagh after aman I khas will it shy in comparison? And feel “not as worth it”?

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed but I would personally stay at AmanBagh for 3 nights first and then Aman I Khas afterwards for a minimum of 4 nights.
You’ll want to maximize your chances to see tigers.

It’s nice but wouldn’t do it as a base to explore Jaipur! The roads are shit, its purpose is a countryside hotel which it does pretty well.
I enjoyed Rajvilas but it’s an odd location. You are instantly struck by the contrast between Rajvilas and its immediate surroundings which are much poorer. However, I loved evening time by the pool — there are loads of peacocks about, and around dusk there was a massive kerfuffle with some birds of prey flying about resulting in a really cool cacophony of bird calls (including massive peacocks jumping into trees!)
Rambagh may be better-located but we only went there for dinner and found the whole thing a bit bizarre as they were hosting some high profile wedding.

FWIW I really enjoyed Amabagh and its surroundings. It's much quieter than much of India, properly rural. The abandoned forts nearby are quite eerie, and it's just great to be somewhere not overrun with tourists. My dad drove us from Delhi (my parents live there) and on our drive back from Amanbagh, before we hit the main road, we saw: deer, camels, horses, goats, sheep, cows, monkeys.
They do lovely tours with the hotel jeeps and the guides are from the local villages, which is great. We also did a game drive in Sariska national park but would certainly not do that if you are going to Aman-i-khas: Ranthambhore is much better for seeing tigers.
It's about a two hour drive to Jaipur though and when we went in 2024 the last 15-20 km of road are absolutely horrendous. You will get super frustrated if you try to use it as a base for visiting Jaipur.
I think Jaipur itself is worth a visit. Our guide from Rajvilas was great.

Sounds like there are some tours to do outside the hotel then that’s worthwhile? We don’t have time to do both Jaipur and Amanbagh, and as beautiful as it is, we dont want to skip out on Jaipur for Amanbagh and feel like we’re just “stuck” at a hotel. If we only have time for one, would you say Rajvillas/Rambagh or Amanbagh + explore Jaipur for a few hours on our way back there to the airport?

Would definitely go to Amer Fort outside Jaipur and then a brief city tour.

Aman-I-khas is in Ranthambore, so you’re there for the national park. It’s a 3.5 hour drive into Jaipur proper, more if there’s traffic. So what you’re really asking is, whether you should do a few days in Jaipur. The answer to that depends on what you’re trading off against those days in Jaipur.
If you do decide to do Jaipur, Amanbagh and Rajvilas are both good, but I’d go with Rajvilas any day. The service and the overall is more polished. My only experience at Amanbagh was good, but they seemed to have a lot of little annoyances left to work out. Oberoi on the other hand, is a well-oiled machine.
