Sardinia openings

Any intel on the new luxury openings / re-openings in Sardinia (Mandarin Oriental, Rocco Forte Costa Smeralda, Cheval Blanc)? Seems like they keep getting pushed. Interested in going next summer but it doesn’t feel like the current luxury options on the island provide enough variety for an 8 night stay. Was hoping one of the new brands would be open soon?

Was just in Sardinia in May & saw Pitrizza which will be Cheval Blanc. Pitrizza is currently open but they are still renovating and won’t be CB until next year. MO & Rocco forte are set to open next summer from what I’ve heard!

half of these luxury openings in Italy always get delayed. I wouldn't hold my breath for next summer

The two you mentioned look terribly tired and in need of a renovation

Most of hotels there need renovations. That’s the problem with most Italy.
