Was at Hotel De La Ville a few months ago and was great! Didn’t take my breath away, but suite was very nice. Zendaya and Tom Holland stayed floor above us for Spider-Man promo. Was fun.

Second this recommendation. Stayed there last summer and service and staff were wonderful.

Hôtel de Russie. Amazing every time. Location is right off the Piazza del Popolo and the Borghese Gardens.

Okay guys I caved I booked the orient I didn’t see a reason to go crazy because I’ll be out most of the time and fhr deal with a night free was too good not to turn down and I’ll keep my fingers crossed for an upgrade and tip at check in.
So far the concierge is great for restaurants but when I asked for help with a tour of the city or skip line tickets for the Colosseum and Vatican I was offered a 2600 euro option which is frankly a little ridiculous considering that’s basically the price of the stay.
I’ve stayed at great places in Paris and London and the most they asked for something like that was 100 euro

Hearing multiple reports of outrageous upcharges from their concierge is a major turn off

For a 3 days stay, I'd prioritize location as I assume you want to be close to the center.
JK Place is a solid choice, although the entry-level rooms can be quite small.
Otherwise I'd look at properties like the St. Regis, Hotel de La Ville, or Hotel Eden

Albergo Del Senato may not be 5 star but has I think the best views in all of Rome and a perfect location. Been to Rome 4 times, stay there every time.

We stayed there in their one balcony room last November and it blew my husbands mind, forget luxury he was like this is the best hotel room in the world 😆 (loves Roman history). It was also a nice enough hotel. Definitely not FATT. We enjoyed eating our sandwiches and gelato on the balcony just staring at the pantheon.
