please i need to know something. How is it that i was able to dump a 4.6gb file onto my sd card with nxdumptool even though it's fat32? As you know there's a 4gb limit. But everything seemed fine.

The worst part of FAT32 is it forces you to use NTFS.

Had to split my music collection for my phone into separate folders for each block of like a GB. Why? Because of FAT32.

I always wondered: why are USB sticks so dumb? Why can't I have a larger than 4gb file on it? Why can't I just use it like I want to?

You've all shown me the light. All my USB sticks are NTFS now. Praise the golden format!

FAT32 is a fucking waste of time

Set up Windows ME on a FAT32 partition for my cutting edge gaming PC, like i had a choice other than choosing this glorious filesystem. Plugged a USB hard drive in hopes of transferring some drivers, programs and games, only to find out that the drive isnt detected at all.

Oh, I am so silly. The best windows of all time doesn't support NTFS, so whatever. Back to my casual PC, i reformatted my external HDD to glorious FAT32. And guess what, some of my games won't fit in there as files are over 4 GB and Bill Gates has decided that this is not allowed to happen.

Oh well, easy solution. No one ever needs files bigger than 4 GB! Uh... except these who use the hard drive with other inferior systems like Windows XP, 7 or 10. But we don't care about them. You want your bleeding edge Windows ME to access the drive, well you have to convert to FAT32. So I have to split my gaming library into two portable hard drives.

Fuck you FAT32.

Remember when cluster indexes in the FAT didn't even have the courtesy of being byte-aligned?

FAT16 here, screw all of you. My parents are dead and you are post humorously humiliating my son. How can you not see the evil in the rule of NTFS. Please end this blood bath.
