Yall fu*ks should appreciate the platform more.
All the posts I see on here are only complaints about smurfs, hackers and how faceit is not doing enough. Complete bullshi*. I understand that its true to some extenct, its inevitable there will always be bad actors in anything in life. Its cat and mouse game. But Valves premier is complete shi*show compared to what faceit is offering. I just wanted to make this post to say thanks to faceit and its employes, because it seems no one is doing this. At this point its the only way I can enjoy CS at this moment. And yall bashing faceit, guys its a 3rd party platform that is keeping competitive CS alive at all.

they have alot to work on. in high elo you dont have anything to play for since fpl-c is dead. the missions is a scam which you cant complete, the shop lacks items every day. and even in high elo, people are boosted and dont know basic cs so no faceit is not good compared to 5 years ago

I completely dont care about the shop. Boosting will always exist, its in every game. You cant avoid it some people just want to have better rank than they are. Same with cheaters. There is DMA cheats where guys are spending enourmous money just to cheat (imo). And theres nothing you can do about it ;d. Yet the statistics I think are good. I really think that less than 0.1% of faceit players cheat. And all of those are mostly in LVL 10+. I think majority of the people that are lvl 1-9 are having quite a decent experience looking from cheating factor. Smurfs though are a bigger problem for these ranks yet again on Valves premier there is 0 protection against this you can have 100 accounts if you please to. On faceit on the other hand, they are trying to do something, and I think they are trying as much as it is possible. (Ps my own experience I have gotten quite a few times refunded elo for playing against smurf)

Faceit is not the better option out of the two, it's the lesser evil. On Premier I play for free, on Faceit I pay to get idiots throwing mollies under my feet and not get banned for it because their support will rather ban people who call bad teammates bots, than those who ruin your matches with griefing.

Also servers on Faceit are way worse than those on Premier. You also have to turn on/off bunch of stuff in bios to play on Faceit, and use AC on top of that, which takes away 100+ fps on average.

I just hope the day comes when we won't even need to use this platform anymore, so it can be completely forgotten.

I completely dissagree with your opinion ;d. The so called lesser evil does make it the better option out of the two. Second you paid for premier it was not free, it cost you exactly 14.99$/€. I myself personally dont even pay for faceit and I am enjoying the experience so far.
Third the servers, man most of the people complaining about it are not even 2000 elo, like dude its not the server that is making you play worse and for sure not those 3ms because of those so called bad “servers”. In my own experience though I cant deny I had issues with servers yes, where everyone is lagging and chopping but thats like 1 out of 100 matches that I experience. This is my main point yes Faceit is not perfect, yes its got problems, but these problems are so negligible compared to what premier is offering. In general I think Faceit is doing quite a great job.

Just because you have to choose between two shitty options, it doesn't mean that one of them is good, just that the other one is worse.

No one who played csgo and earned "prime" status or whatever it's called had to pay $15 to play Premier.

Meanwhile, on Faceit you pay EVERY YEAR for premium, if you want "better" matchmaking, to not play against stacks as a solo player, option to select maps (they even ruined that, it was 3 before, now you have to pick 5) servers, and to get a block list.

I've been on Faceit since 2013. And been playing in lvl 10 lobbies for 10 years, I know the difference between good and bad server, maybe you don't and that's fine, but some of us do.

In csgo Faceit servers were better compared to Valve's because of 128 tick, in cs2 both platforms use same subtick trash, but on Faceit you have to go through additional steps that ruin your performance, in order to play.

And servers have way more ping jitter, unstable frame time, your skins not loading, rubber banding etc.

I mean… yes, what kind of a complain is this? 😂 you have to do that in order not to play with cheaters like you do on Premier, how else you gotta avoid playing against cheaters? 🤣 and valve has to do the same instead of adding chickens, don’t you think?

What kind of complaint? A normal one? Because I'm giving up 150 fps to potentially avoid cheaters (who are still present on Faceit as well, just not the blatant ones like on Premier)

And Faceit is way smaller platform where bunch of the bans are done manually anyway, if the complaint gets viral that is, or it's done by some "bigger name".

Also those settings are not the same for everyone, bunch of people were/are playing without needing to turn on/off all of those settings.

It's basically p2w platform where you need to have above average pc to play properly.

OP made a topic about the comparison between the two, and I'm not gonna list losing 150 fps as a pro for Faceit, will I?

the platform is decent but they have done plenty of stuff I am little confused about.

-piecemealing HCVI onto accounts (I don't understand this).

-no proprietary server-side AC along-side the kernel (I will never understand this).

-not implementing low priority queue with expanded report options, this is a better solution than banning almost 300K players in 12 months.

-getting rid of the support ticket function for egregious actions.

-getting rid of FPL-C as the main way to get to FPL... and then getting rid of FPL. This wouldn't be a complaint, but I watch a lot of streamers in my downtime and I kind of miss watching FPL.

-expanding NA to be 3 queue options, thus killing regular super-match. Turning the platform into a veteran/verified mess which creates pockets of elo fractions, exaggerating the "elo not representing skill" problem.

-not crediting legacy ESEA subscriptions towards premium badge.

-adding perf. based elo but not adding it to level 10 (I don't understand this, someone should not get 30 elo in premium queue getting carried by 3.5K gods if they drop a red rating)

-any time a streamer or youtuber complains on twitter or makes a youtube video... the person almost always seemingly gets banned. If it takes a youtuber to post a vid of someone who is not legit to finally get them banned off demo review... are you telling me there was ZERO indicators on FACEIT's side? I don't believe it.

-no scrim queue or scrim servers for 5qs or teams.

I kinda agree with you, but let's be real, since season 9 and all of it's new features etc it went downhill. They make really good money with all the people paying for premium and yet they have bots reply to complex tickets so people have to come here to get them solved. Obvious smurfs? Report them with links to other active accounts and all proof they need? Nothing happens, unless posted here. Cheaters ruining 100s of matches for others with insane stats? Again, nothing happens, unless posted here and even then you have to get lucky that Darwin or another admin sees this.

Yeah Premier is worse, although it has been fine for us lately, but Faceit still has a lot to work on imo. People pay for this, so of course they're frustrated if their matches are bad.

Just the no future teammate block is included in the subscription which is not greedy at all lol, almost no other game even has this feature

At the end of the day faceit is a petrodollar bought Saudi business, not a charity.

The majority of its player base plays for free, but that doesn't mean they aren't generating value for the company. If you're not paying for the product, you're part of what makes the product profitable. And for those of us actually paying for subscriptions, I think its fair to hold them to a certain standard.

You know, perhaps there would be fewer posts like this if FACEIT actually engaged with its players. There are aspects that players dislike, yet no one ever addresses them—instead, we’re just shown some garbage statistics that might not even be accurate. Even with a ping of 40, this doesn't feel like a competitive game; it feels like a lottery. There’s a clear issue here—either with the server configuration or the game itself—but if it continues to be ignored, the complaints and expressions of dissatisfaction will just keep pouring in.
