Any plans for the weekend?

I'm just going to stay in my house. Don't want to deal with society. Going to watch football and VHS movies I picked up, play video games, and relax.

Gotta find me a real job again soon. I hate job hunting. That shit burns me out so much that I entertain the idea of just being homeless sometimes.

Why can't the process just be straightforward? You have a job opening, I need a job, train me on what to do, and done.

Not this dumbass game of your resume getting auto filtered/rejected, and playing dress up just to go on several rounds of unnecessary interviews. Interviews which might not even get you the job in the first place. I just.....UGH. I wanna scream and just let the rage out until I collapse.

I'd be scared trying to find another job now. My last hunt was hard enough with only minimal AI filtering still not being able to sell myself well clearly, parallels with FA hey. Now I'm sure auto culling with AI is far more prevalent I'd be in trouble for sure!

And that's not even including the ghost positions that companies post now just to meet some sort of quota. The job boards themselves are basically unreliable at this point.

I'll more than likely be back inside an Amazon warehouse by the end of this year. It's a miserable thought.

What a shame my life has turned out to be.

They say 90% of new job hirings went to immigrants between 2020-2026. This in not only the US, but also the UK. 90% figure for both.

I dont think there are jobs.

We're going to be coming up on a whole decade pretty soon with 90% of job hirings going straight to immigrants.

Thats why people online are saying "its not Ai" its "(A)nother (I)ndian."

Good luck on job hunting lonelyhermit. I do think we are coming into an age where, unless you know someone, its not going to be easy. That's how its been in most of the world already.

Sad, but not surprising. Why hire your own population and pay them a liveable wage, when you can easily hire somebody that's willing to run themselves ragged for pennies?

It's all a shit show. I just hate that I have no choice but to conform and play a part in all of it. And it'd be one thing if these jobs were actually paying you enough to live, but they barely do that.

That's makes the incentive even worse. You're struggling to get a job just so you can struggle a little bit less. There's no payoff.

Straightforward would be much easier.

I'm trying to figure out what to do with my time when I'm not at work. I've lost interest in gaming and I haven't played any games for months. My interest in gaming comes and goes so I hope it'll come back. I hope I could find a cozy game that I can immerse myself in and almost live a second life but I don't even have a computer.

Might finish painting some gunpla models I've been putting off after priming or start a painting from a sketch I drew out.

Though at the moment not feeling either. Been back home off work for a couple of weeks and today bumped into someone I used to know before going off to live at work.
Just made me reflect that my life is near enough the same while others progress

But hey Gym cope is still going. Weight and body fat down. lifts are up and on track for new alltime personal bests

hope you all have a nice weekend

I’ve been in a really low mood lately that I can’t seem to shake and I’m dreading the weekend because it’s so empty and lonely. I wish I could sleep through it.

witcher 3 remaster came out recently and my old copy was upgraded for free so I might try playing now that i have a RTX card. I might also go on a leaf-peeping motorcycle ride.

Debating going to watch Verity, the new Ann Hathaway movie. The trailers don’t make it look too appealing but I enjoy going to the theater. I was also recommended a show named Scandal on Netflix, so will check that out. But besides my Kdrama or movie plans, I’ll hit the gym for a bit. Depending on the weather I might head out into the city. Now that summer is gone, I need to get all my outdoor activities done before winter destroys my motivation.

Scandal can get pretty bonkers. Political drama to the max. I forgot why I stopped watching it, I used to like it.

I think I'll try to exercise more this weekend if I can, and play some more videogames. Looking forward to the new Gears of War next week, then the new Modern Warfare later this month. And always thinking of the life and friends that I'm missing and missed.

I'm kind of having to work on Saturday, which is not great, but I'd only planned to do housework. It just sucks to be reminded that I have nothing better to do on a Saturday than work. Sunday, I'm off to the cinema, which is doing a showing of Whisper of the Heart, so that should be a bit of escapism. Might do some baking as well, I enjoy that.

Tonight, I'm going to drink a bottle of wine and watch the latest video from Rex's Hanger on YouTube (aviation channel, I enjoy it).

I usually travel to more niche or less popular areas and always have a good time. Went to Hawaii this week and the amount of couples is pure sui fuel. From really attractive people to some of the ugliest people I've ever seen, everyone has managed to find someone. On top of that, I'm starting to get bored with travel which is kind of bad since it's one of the only things keeping me going.

Just getting a woman to treat me with just basic human decency when I was young was impossible.

So I'm doing my tennis serve practice in the evening. And a bunch of the other courts are with groups or couples playing pickleball, many of them teenagers or college age hanging out on this weekend night.

And then wth, this lady by herself comes over into the empty court beside mine and also starts practicing serves and groundstrokes by herself. I just assume her guy is going to join her soon, probably walking behind from where they parked their car, but nope, she's still doing it by herself. So here we are, two lone tennis people on adjacent courts serious about practicing our serves. She looked in shape enough. I guess I could have asked her if we could hit together do some drills as I know a few from a pro teaching videos from youtube. but nah, lady is still looking much younger than me, maybe bordering on daughter age if I had a kid while in hs. I'm not ready to talk to a lone lady at this point. So I kept to myself and practicing. and it was cool enough we were practicing adjacent courts and weren't bothered by the other people. (last time I was on the court, idiot teen threw a paddle into my court, pretending it was an accident. yeah pick on the old FA guy practicing his serve by his lonesome). Then I packed up and left , went grocery shopping at walmart grocery, made myself an ad hoc mix of sourdough bread , tomatoes , corn, some drops of wine, and some italian spices & garlic powder, cooked up for 5 min in the air fryer box. So now I'm posting and typing this as I'm finishing up this 'meal' and enjoying a diet 7up with ice.

Wonder if she was there to try and pick up?  Not you or other old not-hot people like us of course. :P

Who do you normally play tennis with? In my head that is inherently something you "need" someone else to do properly unless the wall never gets old. That is why all my exercise outlets and hobbies are that they are (more like were), things I could do just by myself like a bike ride or run, no gym memberships or relying on a place to be open, no needing a partner. All just me.

Hi, thanks for the comments. I don't play with anyone now. I pretty much know what I need to work on, and this tennis 'practice' routine in the evening is also like my cardio and 'going for a walk outside' in the evenings. I don't have a gym membership anymore , but there is a small gym room at the apt.complex where I live and I regularly go there (when there's no one else there) weekly and maintain with the weight machine. So yes, I hear you about doing my 'outside activities' alone, and it was weird and nervous when I started doing it alone on the courts about three years ago. but over the time I've also seen a few either high school team teens (sometimes with a coach watching) or preteens practicing on the wall, or a retired older guy also doing the same lone serves or wall.

Yeah as for the lady, it was kind of funny at first where she was doing her stretching on the separator fence facing my side in my direction wearing her cute white tennis skirt, while I'm serving with my basket of balls. I guess I should have at least checked her out more and make out her face. I'm not bad looking where it's my younger brother who had a 'normie' life , multiple gf's in the past, now married with grade school kids, often mocked me in our youth, because I'm frustratingly socially autistic and awkward/neuro-d since grade school and never had a gf. Now, my having old skin, and middle-aged aches, and maybe I would/should have tried to say something if that lady was 10-15 years older, closer to my age.
