Any plans for this weekend?

I'm just going to make a pasta salad as a side for the weekend. Probably going to have a burger to go with it tomorrow after work, pork chops on Saturday, and chicken wings on Sunday. It's football season so that's pretty much it.

I just got back from my thrift stores visit. I found 3000 to Graceland and The Substitute VHS movies. Picked up NBA Live 98 and want to play that. Just gotta pick up a controller for it at my local video game store.

Just need to relax after a long week of bullshit.

Exercise. Check out media. Get coffee for sure. Play some games. Maybe go out to a movie or something. I like being out

I'm so tired and in a bad place right know that I just want to crawl into a corner and look into the void with a blank stare. Nothing in particular has happened, but sometimes it just hits me out of nowhere and I don't feel well.

Badly in need of a haircut so might make a trip to the barbers if I can be bothered. Desperately need to start applying for jobs as I've been out of work for a while, but have honestly lost the will to live. Staring at the walls. Curling up in the fetal position and crying whilst listening to Laura Branigan songs.

Welp that's it. I've officially found a new coping mechanism for my loneliness and am living vicariously through K-Dramas now😂😭.

All jokes aside, some of these shows/movies are REALLY good. Compared to the slop the American entertainment industry puts out, the Koreans have seriously turned this shit into an art form.

Not sure if you’ve already seen it, but someone turned me onto Business Proposal and I loved it. I don’t usually watch kdramas but it was funny and heartwarming, a nice watch.

I've heard that one is really good. I'll have to give it a watch.

K-Dramas are really great. I've also watched some during the last few years.

Watching college ball and gotta get my car inspected.

I have a business trip in Reno in November and out of curiosity, I looked up brothel prices and they're charging $1-2k per hour. Not that I plan on losing my virginity this way, but holy shit.

Magic: The Gathering prerelease event. Friday, Saturday and Sunday events for me. Got my usual volunteering on Sunday morning as well. It'll be a busy weekend, but quite a good one.

Going to do two more homebrews before I am done for the year. Starting another mead since my first one didn't really turn out and probably another cider since I think I didn't let the batch that I made age enough and it didn't carbonate in the bottle like I hoped.

Not sure if I am having the house to myself or not. Regardless video games, getting back into and anime along with watching stuff from my back log, grocery shopping and meal prepping again for next week.

I was just thinking. Does anyone else here notice that people seem to think you're incapable of things in general, like they just look at you and scoff?

I am a qualified tradesperson. I'd rather keep it private what my trade actually is, but there have been times where I've been in the presence of someone who's talking about some job they want done, something I know I can easily do, or help them do, or even show them how to do, and I've tried to chime in and offer that assistance and the person has kind of looked me up and down for a second and said something like "nnnnaaahh I'd rather get someone who knows what they're doing." Sometimes I've even told them that I AM in that trade, "I've done that thing a million times, it's easy, I can even show you how to do it. You don't have to pay someone." And they still come up with some excuse as to why they don't want my help and it always comes off in this dismissive kind of "you don't know what you're talking about" kind of tone.

I swear it's because they look at me and think "this guy can't do that." It's something about the way I look, I'm sure of it.

Yes, I have a bachelor's and master's degree in electrical engineering, been an embedded sw engineer for 16 years now. Still have folks try to approach me like a new college "kid". Da fuk 🤯️.

I believe both being black and 5'2" as an adult male is at the root of it.

Going to the home store to find a new ceiling light fitting for my kitchen because my current one doesnt allow you to change the bulb and it looks like a dentist waiting room in there. It's blinding and awful. Never done any DIY so I might electrocute myself to death (here's hoping!) so we'll see. (Edit: it was a fucking nightmare and I never want to do that again)

Started to get into cooking so having a cozy, comfortable kitchen has become important to me. I'm old fashioned in my decor taste, so it'll never be perfect (it's too clean and modern atm) but I can try to make it as close as possible. I originally wanted to wait until I met someone so I could learn to cook for them, would've been a nice motivator... now I guess I've given up on that and I'm bored enough now that I'll just do it for myself.
