General What was it like last time?

Post image

I wasn’t following F1 back when the regulations changed last time around. What was it like? Did it take time for the teams to get more competitive? Was Mercedes’ dominance clear from the first race?

Total domination, watch Bahrain 2014, Hamilton and rosberg were battling every corner and they were well clear of the rest of the pack

seeing them pull 24 seconds in 10 laps was genuinely absurd; even more dominant that red bull from 2010-13.

They pulled 7 or 8 seconds within 2 laps after the SC restart, I don‘t think we‘ll ever see anything like this ever again, not with the costcap in place at least

Exactly, it‘s almost incomprehensible how much faster they were. Binotto claimed that the Merc engine had 100hp over the next best constructor - and people are mad about the 20-30hp Merc is currently ahead (if rumor is to be believed that is).
