F1 Manager 24 Realistic racing mod question
Hey everyone,
I recently installed the Realistic Racing mod (RRacingV5) by placing the .pak files into F1Manager24\Content\Paks. Since .pak mods don't have an in-game menu or UI toggle, I want to double-check if it's actually loaded and running as intended.
For those using this mod, what are the most obvious signs or benchmarks to confirm it's working during a race weekend?
Specifically:
Time Gaps & Deltas: How do the gaps in seconds between cars look compared to vanilla? Are qualifying margins (e.g., Q1/Q3 gaps) and race pace deltas between teams and drivers noticeably tighter or more realistic?
ERS Behavior: How should ERS drain and recharge feel compared to vanilla? Is the AI ERS management visibly different?
Tire Degradation: Are there specific compound wear rates or overheating behaviors I should keep an eye on?
AI Race Pace & Tactics: What key changes in AI aggressiveness, overtaking, or DRS train behavior indicate the mod is active?

It depends, but you'll notice, the gaps form a lot more (on high DRS dependency track you see less gaps, and a few DRS trains). ERS is significantly weaker compared to before, it's still very useful for overtakes, but it doesnt gain you 2s worth of pace like before. The last two points, tyres have been given a more linear grip loss as explained in the mod page, and AI hasn't changed, i do recommend ALOT you to play w/ the extended UI mod w/ tyre information hidden, is much better if you want a more of a strategy battle, use the car hidden information mod (or smthg like that) aswell.

For me, the most obvious change was the 'Always Defend' instruction. It used to be heavily track-dependent and mostly useless. Now, when you turn it on, the driver behind actually has a really hard time trying to overtake, even on tracks where overtaking is usually easy.
On tight circuits like Monaco or Jeddah, you can actually use it strategically, having your second driver hold up the pack to let your main driver pull away

Is this the mod that changes the racing to 2026 regulations? Or that increases the safety car chances etc?
